HA! I'm back! With another drabble. Anyways, this is a gift fic for the lovely VictimOfDoubt. ReiMiku FTW!
Rumors
From the first day of school she had, willing or not, set her 'look'. Outspoken, smart and tough. She was Hatsune Miku.
She was intriguing to most; people admired her apathy, but at the same time feared her, and were weary of each action they made towards her. But although nobody admitted it, they were most afraid of their excitig perceptions of her to be false, so then the rumors started. Consparacy theories started emerging at rapid speed.
Rei would here snatches of conversation from different students:
'Did you hear? The new student has perfect grades, not a single bad mark!'
'No, no. I heard that she had cheated on most.'
'Pfft, I heard she terminated the plans of an international terrorist group single handed!'
'Oh yeah! She saved the lives of hundred of passesngers on a plane!'
Rei would dismiss most of these claims, none of which really interested him, all but one.
'Did you know that she doesn't even like one of the hottest guys at school, Rei Kagane? In fact, she thinks he's overrated.' whispered a small blonde bubbly girl.
Rei smiled to himself; for once he had stooped to the levels of his peers. He feared these perceptions weren't true.
Disappointment
A few days later when Rei was reading, Hatsune Miku cracked.
She confessed to him.
She was no different to anyother girl.
So Rei did what he always feared he'd have to do. Reject someone and hurt their feelings.
Rei was disappointed; his hopes of finally being able to talk to a female without having them squeal had been dashed.
Burn
Afterschool Rei confronted Miku to ask her about joining the chorus.
Miku flicked him away rudely. Dismissing what he had to say before he even said it.
She really was a totally different person than anyone he had met.
'Burn', muttered Rui. Smirking at the rare display of Rei's rejection.
Deja Vu
Time passed by, Miku agreed to join the chorus. On the day she met Len, who, unbeknownst to her, made her more flustered than Rei ever could.
Rei's attention was focused on Miku more and more each day.
Her confidence, happiness and her singing rubbed off on him. She gave him a warm and fuzzy feeling.
One day, he confessed.
That he loved her singing.
It took sometime for it to sink into Miku, that her singing was only a small portion of her. It wasn't her. It was like Rei going,
'Hmm, I like this part of you but the others really have to go.'
He was indirectly rejecting her.
Miku counld't help but feel it was Deja Vu.
I'm in love with you
More time passed an it seemed Miku was starting to forget her feelings for the certain tsundere, not that they weren't there, they lingered in her mind like cobwebs. But these days her attention was turned more to Len.
He was constantly getting her out of trouble, and vice versa. He seemed to understand her. She wanted to understand him. She wanted the feelings to be mutual.
Rei on the other hand, was the opposite. This epiphany gratly excited him and he played out what he was going to say to her for the rest of the day.
On the night he appeared at her doorsteps and she welcomed him. He spit everything out. He apologized for hurting her twice. Miku was rather taken back; the feeling of enjoyment she was meant to be feeling was absent. But it was the way he ended his speech that stunned her:
'I'm in love with you.'
Yes, Rei Kagane had fallen in love.
It's too bad Hatsune Miku had fallen out of it.
Well, that was depressing. After listening to Alluring Secret (Rei and Len version) for the 50th time today, I was in a ReiMikuLen mood. AND THUS THIS WAS CREATED.
Yeah, yeah. I suck.
P.s If you figured out the 'blonde bubbly girl' was Rin, your awesome.
