Doing Just Fine
Wednesday 3:50 p.m.
Tenya: Please remember to bring your lunches for the field trip on Saturday! I cannot stress this enough as lunch will not be provided on this day.
Chargebolt: Okay, mom.
Pinky: Thanks, mom!
Uravity: Look, my dude, I just can't help it that I think Bakugou is fine as hell. Like damn, lemme smash without all the judgement, Deku.
Deku: Just because you can, doesn't mean that you should. You know that I'm gay af, and I still wouldn't touch that.
Uravity: Of course, Deku, I think pretty much everybody in class knows who you'd rather be smashing. ;3
Red Riot: Um... my dudes, I think you accidentally sent this to the class chatroom.
Froppy, Bakugou and 7 others are typing...
She was unsure of how long she stood there clutching her phone and staring at it with wide eyes as her face flushed a bright red, but if there was one thing that Uraraka Ochako was sure of as panic seeped into her stomach, it was that she was majorly screwed as she unintentionally just murdered both her's and Deku's social status in the class with her mistake. Ochako nervously bit her lip, sure it may have sounded like she was over-reacting about the entire situation and perhaps in a week they'd look back on this and laugh, but right in that moment as she basically told the entire class how she felt about a certain angry blond she just wanted to curl up into a ball and die. Not to mention that she had also pulled poor Midoriya into this mess as well and that was a whole other problem as the boy she called her best friend wasn't out to the rest of the class yet, the only ones knowing that he preferred guys, being Ochako, Iida, and his own mother, of course.
Ochako had only been joking about the class knowing about Midoriya's totally obvious crush on his icy hot friend.
"Maybe... Maybe it won't be so bad." The teenaged girl quietly told herself just as her phone started to ping the tone that let her know that the group chat had frantically burst to life. With an embarrassed frown, Ochako quickly set her phone down on the nightstand beside her bed, she couldn't bear herself to look at the messages. Who was she kidding, this was terrible and if dying from utter embarressment was possible then she would be lying on the ground just about now.
A sudden knocking on her dorm room door made her flinch in surprise as she looked over towards the noise with wide eyes, whoever was there didn't let up one bit. Letting out a tired sigh, Ochako stood up and walked over to the door.
'Now what?' She thought to herself as she carefully opened it, hoping that whoever was on the other side wasn't going to make her day any worse. Instead, she felt surprise as she came face to face with the teary face of her green-haired friend, though in retrospect she probably shouldn't have been as surprised as she was.
"Deku, what's-" Ochako was about to say, but trailed off as her friend stood awkwardly in front of her and let out a small and fearful whimper, with full on waterworks as tears cascaded down his face; though it was true that was a normal occurence for the emotional boy, his friend could tell that this time it was different from his usual crying. Ochako felt a pang in her chest which caused a deep frown to grow on her face as the sight of one of her closest friends sobbing in her doorway made her feel utterly terrible.
"Come here, Deku." She said, voice soft as she gently pulled the boy into her room, carefully glancing out into the hallway to make sure that no one was around before she shut her dorm's door behind them as their only line of defence from whatever lay ahead. With that, she turned back towards Midoriya, setting a gentle hand on his elbow in order to lead him over to sit on her bed. "Are you okay?"
"N-No, I'm not okay, everyone is going to hate me!" Midoriya responded to her with a tearful sob as he covered up his face with his hands, unfortunately reminding Ochako of a puppy that had gotten kicked.
"Oh, Deku, no one is going to hate you for something like that." She said to him as she began to rub his back in trying to comfort the other. "I mean, look at Kirishima, he's gay and everybody loves him."
"Yea, but..." Midoriya paused as he slowly moved his hands in order to look Ochako right in the eyes before losing his nerve and glancing away; he sniffled. "I-I'm not Kirishima..."
"Have you been bullied about it before?"
"I've been bullied about everything before, and what's worse is that they didn't even know, not for a fact. They just assumed that I was gay."
"That's terrible, do you want me to kick some ass?" Ochako gave Midoriya a gentle smile as her use of wording got a small chuckle out of the boy.
"If we ever run into someone from my junior high again, I'll give you permission, but only this once." Was Midoriya's response as he whipped his eyes on his sleeve.
"I'd even kick..." Ochako began to say before she trailed off, choosing to think over her next words a bit more carefully before continuing. "Remember what I said when you first came out to me? You're my best friend and if anyone ever gives you any flack just because of who you love, they'll have me to deal with and probably even Iida too. I'll even kick Bakugou's ass, I don't care if I find him incredibly attractive, if he wants to be the enemy than so be it."
It was then that Midoriya's crying started up all over again, but at least this time, Ochako could tell that these tears were a bit happier than the earlier fear-induced ones.
"Thanks, Uraraka." Midoriya said once he had calmed back down once more, his eyes sparkling due to a mixture of his tears and a bit of joy. "Though, you don't have to worry about Kaachan with this one, he's actually bisexual himself so he never bothered me about it. He might have even defended me a couple of times, but he'd never admit to it. Just... Don't tell him that I told you that."
"My lips are sealed." Ochako said with a small smile, her chest fluttering with a mixture of anxiety and excitement when she thought about the boy she was currently crushing on. A huge surprise to her when she realized her feelings no more than a month ago, to be sure, but the angry blond had been getting slowly better with handling his emotions as of late so she just couldn't help herself. Ochako could still remember the look on Deku's face the first time that she told him that she had found herself head over heels for Bakugou of all people.
"Kaachan..." Midoriya suddenly said, trailing off, which got Ochako's attention quickly returned to her friend. He looked to be contemplating over something before he came to a sudden conclusion and turned back towards Ochako with a shocked expression. "Damn, I was so worried about me that I didn't even think about your secret being exposed too, Uraraka I'm so sorry."
"What?" She asked, nose wrinkling up in confusion. "No, don't worry about my embarrassing crush, Deku just worry about yourself. You're the one that just unintentionally came out of the closet."
He looked nervous as she said it and even let out a sigh, so Ochako then came to the conclusion that perhaps it was about time to change the subject.
"So since you're officially out of the closet are you going to ask out Todoroki?" Ochako asked without hesitation to which her best friend sputtered, making her believe that if he had been drinking anything in the moment he would have just done the most glorious of spit-takes.
"I-I can't do that, he's probably not even into dudes!" Was Midoriya's quickly mumbled response, his face lighting up in a rather impressive shade of red, just about the same color as the boy's hair that he was crushing on. Ochako looked at Midoriya skeptically with one eyebrow raised as she huffed out.
"Deku, what about him makes you think that he's straight?"
"Can you not right now?" Midoriya said as he looked away and Ochako decided to leave him be before the poor boy passed out in a panic, he had already been through so much that evening and her constantly pinging phone was a reminder of that.
"Bakugou knows that I have a crush on him now and then there's the whole 'lemme smash' thing." Ochako stated simply as she glanced towards her phone and then away again as if the fact had only now registered with her.
"The entire class knows that I'm gay." Midoriya responded not a few seconds later in a much similar tone as his best friend had spoken in.
After the words left his mouth, a silence rose up around the two that seemed to drag on for several long minutes as neither one knew what to do about their predicament.
"Damn."
When Midoriya Izuku finally came to the next morning, he was initially met with confusion as someone was gently shaking his shoulder in trying to wake him up. The teenaged boy grumbled as he attempted to flee by burying his face into the warm blanket that covered him. Instead, of leaving him be, the shaking simply increased and he decided that now was as good a time as ever to get up.
Leaning up, his hair the spitting image of the term 'bed-head' he realized that the place he was currently in was not his room. He curiously looked around, mind still full of the confusion brought on by sleep.
"Mom?" He called out to which he heard a small giggle in response.
"I am here, my child." He heard the familiar voice of Uraraka respond to which he instantly snapped awake and sat up, his face flushing red once more.
"Did... Did I fall asleep here?" He asked, looking over to where his friend was rummaging through her dresser drawers, her usually bubbly exterior damped by the way she hung her shoulders. Izuku watched as Uraraka gave a half-hearted nod, pulling out a skirt from within her drawer, getting a contemplative hum out of the boy as he recollected the events that had got him here. Izuku had remembered that after their conversation last night, it had been Uraraka's turn to start crying, though for her it was more of the dampening of her eyes unlike Deku's usual waterfall of tears. Seeing his friend cry had made him cry once more and then the two had decided to hug it out and he figured that they must have fallen asleep like that as it was the last thing that he could remember, the thought brought a blush to his face.
"Sorry about that..." Izuku mumbled, to which Uraraka waved him off.
"Don't worry about it." She said with a very briefly forced smile before it quickly vanished. She didn't have to tell him the reason it upset her, for he already knew the answer to that, unfortunately this wasn't the first time that she held him while he cried himself to sleep and it probably wasn't going to be the last.
Izuku decided to change the subject.
"Hey, at least it's Saturday and we don't have to worry about facing the music until Monday." He said quickly, running a hand through his unruly hair. "Maybe by then everyone will have even forgotten about it..."
"We have the field trip today, Deku." Uraraka said, voice small as if she didn't want to think about it, but still had to bring it up. Izuku frowned and bit his lip as he looked away with dark eyes.
"Oh that... I don't think that I'm going to go." He mumbled under his breath which got a wide-eyed stare from his best friend in return.
"What do you mean?"
"I just... I don't think I could face everyone after that." Izuku sighed, giving a shrug.
"You were so excited about this trip though and it's probably going to be the only normal school trip that we get." Uraraka said as if she didn't believe the words that she had heard. "Hero History Museum! You love that kind of stuff and plus it's a mandatory trip, Deku, you don't want to get on Aizawa's bad side."
"I knoooow." The teenaged boy said in exasperation as he groaned and fell back onto Uraraka's bed. "This is horrible."
He could hear his friend sigh as she grabbed a shirt and slid her drawer shut once more in order to stand up and casually trot over to his side. Izuku cracked open an eye to look up at her, alarmed when he saw the look of determination upon her face, much like the one she had during the sports festival.
"Come on, Deku, let's get you up and ready." She said as she grabbed a hold of his wrist, pulling him back up into a sitting position. "Think of it like ripping off a band-aid, you can freak out about it or you can quickly get it over with. I'm not going to make you do anything, but I think we'll be fine as long as we stick together."
He looked at her skeptically, but after a moment's pause, he let out a defeated sigh and then nodded.
"This is... probably going to be really rough." Izuku said. "Emotionally, speaking."
"Yea, yea it is." Uraraka responded.
Granted, while it had taken the duo a lot longer to get ready than it would have normally taken then, they somehow had managed to actually get ready and make their way out of the door. Sure, it had taken Deku agonizingly long as Uraraka waited outside of his room for him, but she understood why he was so apprehensive and didn't rush him; she was just lucky enough that he was going through with it anyway.
Thus the duo found themselves running down the halls and across the school's campus, hand in hand, as they came to the frightening realization that they were going to be late and miss the bus that would transport them to their destination. If that happened, then they would have Aizawa's wrath added to the pile of things that they had to worry about, so Uraraka made sure to really push them along on their way.
"We're not going to make it in time!" Midoriya huffed out as he very slightly loosened up the grip that he had on his friend's hand just in the off chance that he tripped over his own feet so he wouldn't bring her down with him. However, upon feeling him loosen up, she made sure to grasp a hold of his hand even tighter which got a huff out of the other young hero-in-training. She was not about to let him chicken out and flee if she could help it.
"Not with that attitude." Uraraka said as the two neared where the bus was waiting, apparent that the rest of the class had already boarded except, of course, their home room teacher and beloved class rep. Aizawa, leaning up against the bus, was looking as bored as usual as he leisurely typed away on a digital tablet provided by school for the exact reason of keeping tabs on the students and activities during the trip. He sighed as he looked up from the screen at the two that were fastly approaching, he quickly tapped at the screen, checking them off the list of students.
"You two are cutting it close." He stated as he stood up straight and turned to disappear onto the bus. "Hurry up and take your seats."
"Sorry about that Mr. Aizawa." Midoriya said apologetically as he and Uraraka finally reached the bus, coming to a quick stop, though it was unsure on whether or not the teacher had heard him.
"Where have you two been?" Iida asked them in exasperation as the duo both attempted to catch their breath. "This is quite the unorthodox behavior from you two, especially after what had happened last night on the group chat."
The two seemingly wailed in unison, much to Iida's chagrin.
"Please, Tenya, don't remind us about that." Uraraka said in exasperation. "We're already having the worst weekend ever, let us off the hook."
The class rep seemed to take in her words with a thoughtful hum before he nodded with certainty, lifting up his hand to motion towards them.
"I suppose that you two have suffered enough." He said, getting relieved sighs from them, though it was short-lived as the taller boy's face became one of concern. "That being said, are you two doing okay? Neither of you have been answering your phones and I had become worried."
"I forgot my phone in my dorm, I was kind of avoiding it." Uraraka admitted with a frown as she looked towards Deku with questioning glance, to which the boy looked away.
"I have mine, but it's turned off." He said. "I kind of wanted to be alone for the time being, and I just... couldn't bring myself to read what everyone was saying in the chat."
"Wait so you two hadn't been reading what everyone's been saying?" Iida asked with widened eyes as if the thought of them avoiding their current situation hadn't occurred to him until that moment.
"Is it really that bad?" Midoriya asked with a grimace upon his face as he looked back to Iida, however before his friend could respond they heard their teacher call out.
"Hurry up, we're leaving." To which Uraraka and Midoriya looked at each other before scrambling to get up into the bus with Iida following shortly after them, they could speak more on the issue later.
However, upon entering the bus, they were reminded that they had essentially made things even more awkward than they would have been due to their complete and utter radio silence towards their classmates ever since their blunder with the group chat. As Uraraka walked in ahead of Deku, she froze in her tracks as the many conversations that her fellow classmates were having slowed down and several even stopped what they were doing to give her a curious, and even slightly worried, look.
Unable to look over at any of them for too long, her eyes scanned over the group in order to find any seats that were still available, finding that all of the ones further towards the back were already taken. This was fine as they would have to take a walk of shame to reach their seats, but it did nothing to sooth her subconscious as she knew that it would probably feel like everybody was looking at them from the back even if she in fact knew that wasn't true and it was just her anxious mind playing tricks on her. She just couldn't help it.
As her eyes finally landed on a seat, her gaze only lingered for a brief moment as she looked up and instantly locked eyes with Bakugou who was sitting next to Kirishima a couple of rows back. While his expression remained unreadable, their eyes refused to leave one another even as Uraraka's face grew slightly red and the only thought that she could muster up was 'oh heck.' Then as Kirishima turned to look at what had suddenly gotten his friend's attention, a huge grin grew on his face before he gave an encouraging thumbs up towards the girl who did nothing to sooth her blazing face.
Luckily it was then that Midoriya hurriedly shoved past her to leap into the closest seat next to the window, his antics broke her gaze finally and she looked over at her friend questioningly as he nervously patted the seat next to him. Taking in a deep breath, Uraraka finally took her seat and was feeling a bit better than she had been as the encounter definitely hadn't ended up too badly. At least there had been no explosions, but that being said, she was unsure on whether or not the silence coming from the usually loud blond was any more comforting.
SItting next to Deku, Ochako heard him let out a breath that he must have been holding in as Iida finally took a seat a few paces away, followed by Aizawa giving the driver some instructions. Shortly afterwards, they had started to move off towards their destination.
"See? That wasn't too bad." Ochako had finally said after a few long minutes once the bus had become rather rowdy once more.
"I guess you're right..." Her green-haired friend mumbled as he nervously glanced down, playing with his hands in an attempt to calm himself. In that moment Ochako wanted to give him some kind of words of encouragement, but she didn't think that anything else that she had to say would be able to help, so she decided to just let time be the answer that he was looking for. Let him see as the day went by that nothing had really changed and the only thing they really had to worry about was the embarrassment and hopefully nothing else.
From the corner of her eye she could spot movement as if there were somebody else on this bus that was nervously shuffling about, a comforting thought in this trying time, so she dared herself to chance a glance a little surprised to see that it was Todoroki who was sitting in the seat across from where she and Deku were. Ochako curiously watched as Yaoyorozu, who was sitting next to him, leaned over to whisper something into the boy's ear which only filled the young anti-gravity girl with even more curiosity (and a bit more nervousness) as the two were very nondescreatly looking over in their direction.
"Um, good morning, Midoriya." Todoroki suddenly said as if he had been pondering about saying something at all, though as the words came out, the boy in question let out a surprised squeak as he wildly turned around to gaze at the other with wide and fearful eyes. Yaoyorozu lightly faced-palmed as Todoroki opened his mouth as if to say something else, before he decided against it and left it at that by turning away the lightest of blushes on his face. A small smirk broke on Ochako's own face at the scene.
How very... Not subtle.
Ochako looked towards Deku to see that he had forced his gaze away and was now staring out the window as if it were the most interesting thing in the world out there. The poor naive boy, he was the smartest around when it came to heroism, but when it came to just about everything else especially the very obvious (possibly romantic) feelings that someone had for him he was just a bit clueless. She hoped that he would eventually come to a realization, Ochako imagined that he would be much more happy with himself if he could, though before he did that he would probably have to work on being just a little more accepting of himself first.
"Ochako, are you doing okay? Ribbit." Tsuyu asked, the frog girl suddenly popping up from behind her seat, having been sitting behind them. "You two worried everyone when you vanished last night."
"Oh sorry about that, we were just..." Ochako looked over at Midoriya before she looks back towards her other friend. "We were really embarrassed and we're still kind of nervous about what happened."
"Okay, well I don't blame you, I felt a lot of second-hand embarrassment for you." Tsuyu continued in her usual blunt way of speaking. "I think everybody else did as well, ribbit."
Ochako nodded as a response while an awkward silence rose up around them, though it didn't last long.
"So, Bakugou, huh?" Tsuyu asked to which Ochako let out an exasperated whine before burying her head in her hands.
"Please, don't remind me."
"Well, I guess he would be kind of attractive if he wasn't so angry all the time." Tsuyu said putting a thoughtful finger up to her face as if she were pondering something over. "So no one's really judging you, but it's just very surprising is all."
Ochako seemed to ease up with her words, because hell yea Tsuyu had hit it right on the nose with her crush on Bakugou, though she didn't dare admit that she found his personality to be rather exciting at times. Others wouldn't dare to tread there, but Ochako was not afraid to poke that wolf with a stick if need be.
"Also, you too, Midoriya." Tsuyu continued on with what she was saying, unaware of Ochako's current internal struggle, while the boy in question looked over at her with his continuously worried expression; Ochako hoped that wouldn't last all day for it was not a look that suited him at all. "Everyone was surprised to learn that you're into guys, but everybody is pretty chill with it and want to support you no matter what. You guys would no these things if you read the chat."
Ochako could feel her chest begin to feel all bubbly with her friend's words, especially as she watched a small smile grow on Deku's face, his shoulders easing up slightly as just the tiniest bit of tension was released from them. She could tell that he still had a bit of ways to go, but it was a start to returning things back to normal.
Oh yes, they were going to be just fine.
"Hey, Deku." Uraraka said suddenly from where the two stood together at the very back of all of their classmates, a few hours had gone by since their bus ride here and now they were currently touring the facility with their class. The plan was to tour the bottom level of the building during the first half of the day together as a class, then they would go outside to break for the lunch and after that they would be allowed to go off on their own to examine what the building had to offer at their own pace. Their was a variety of exhibits and demonstrations that the museum had to offer and since it would be best for the heros-in-training to focus on the things that would help them personally rather than trying to take it all in, Aizawa thought it be best to split up for the second half of the day. Though not before he had warned (or rather, threatened) his students that they were to be on their best behaviour while they were off by themselves.
Surely nothing would go wrong.
"Why's your dream boy following us?" Uraraka asked as she motioned towards Todoroki, who was even further behind the group than they were. This earned a nervous sputter from Izuku as he reeled on his friend in a hushed whisper.
"Don't call him that!"
"Hey, I'm just wondering." Uraraka responded with a tiny frown upon her face. "He just looks so much like a lost little puppy and it's breaking my fragile heart, you should go talk to him."
Izuku gave out a small hum as he glanced behind them to see that, sure enough, his icy-hot friend was lingering several feet away behind them. Though upon being spotted, Todoroki's mis-matched eyes widened and then he proceeded to shuffle away; the sight of it caused a fond smile to grow on Izuku's face.
"Oh, I think that's just his way of hanging out with us." He said as he turned back towards Uraraka, his smile nearly blinding her. "You know, while still minding our personal space, at least that's what I think."
"Like a cat." Uraraka said with sparkling eyes as the class began to move on to the next exhibit, the duo hurried along to follow after them without getting to close, just as Todoroki had done; they were still awkwardly embarrassed to be around their classmates and that was probably going to last all weekend and maybe even some of next week as well. "Man, Deku, you're like fluent in Todoroki language."
This got the boy to blush slightly.
"I wouldn't say that, I mean he could have easily just have wanted to come over here to talk to us about something, but was too shy to approach." He said anxiously, waving his arms frantically as if that would defend him from her observation. "Also, I just took the time to get to know him, you know, I think he's kind of misunderstood and if everyone took the time to get to know him then they're know just how amazing and kind of sweet he can be-"
He was rambling and it was all Uraraka could do to just give a curt nod as she listened to her best friend essentially gush on about his crush, without even realizing how bad he had it for the white and red-haired boy.
Uraraka shook her head and was about to comment on her best friend's pining when the group had once again stopped without them realizing and the gravity girl had quite instantly walked into the person in front of her. Uraraka was quick to apologize, and this would have normally been fine on any other day, had the person that she had walked into not been the very person that she was trying to avoid on this day.
Bakugou was quick to turn around with a sneer, daring whomever had walked into him to try it again. However, upon seeing who it was behind him, his expression warped into what Uraraka and Midoriya could only describe as an awkwardly forced grimace.
"Watch where you're going, round face." Bakugou spat as he looked away from her as if he wanted to be literally anywhere else but there, Uraraka could agee that the feeling was mutual. However, even though he still seemed as annoyed as ever, his voice appeared to be just the slightest hint softer and he also hadn't exploded anything yet so that must have been a good sign right? That little part of Ochako that secretly, or perhaps not so secretly, hoped that Bakugou liked her back felt thrilled and ever so slightly gave her the courage to test the waters. Which just meant poking him with a stick again.
"Oh yea, well why don't you watch where you're going?" She said with as much attitude as she could muster, which probably looked ridiculous to any bystanders that were watching. From the corner of her eye, Uraraka could see Deku's face with a mixture of shock and horror on it as the boy gasped out, clearly surprised about what she had just said to Bakugou of all people. However, the boy in question whipped his head back around to send an angry and threatening glare back in her direction, though it lost all its power as the lightest of smirks was trying to find its way onto his face.
Deku watched in amazement as Uraraka gave a tiny smirk of her own, the sight of it on her face causing Bakugou's eye to twitch. This was dangerous and he was sure that his best friend knew that as she let out the smallest of mock-sighs.
"Alright, Bakugou." Uraraka said, almost as if she were toying with the boy and Deku had to wonder where all of this came from. Spending the past day in a state of perpetual anxiety could really make you not care anymore after wearing down at your body, that was for sure. "If you're going to explode and kill me, like you always threaten, then my final request is that you leave Deku out of this. At least until he has the chance to smooch on his dream guy, Deku has been through so much and deserves to get lots of kisses from cute guys."
"Don't say things like that and please, leave me out of this!"
"That's what I'm trying to do Deku." Uraraka responded to her friend, casually waving him off just in the off-chance the Bakugou snapped, which may have been a possibility at this point as the blond-haired boy was currently gritting his teeth and clenching his fists together. Very briefly, Uraraka was left to wonder if maybe she had just taken it a bit too far, though she was not allowed to dwell on this as Bakugou finally opened his mouth to speak.
"Oh yea? Well-" Bakugou said before he abruptly stopped, face blazing as Uraraka could see the gears turning in his head as he tried to think up of an appropriate response. Behind him, Kirishima and Kaminari stopped what they were doing to curiously watch the even unfold. "You... You should have lunch with me! Or don't, I don't care!"
And with that he sent a warning glare towards Deku before he turned on his heels and stalked away while Kirishima and Kaminari nearly lost their minds at the sight. Bakugou very clearly yelled some choice words at them, but Uraraka didn't hear it as she released the breath that she had been holding in, her heart hammering heavily in her chest. That could have gone so many different ways, but she didn't think that the way it actually did turn out would have even been an option anyway.
"Oh my gosh..." Midoriya mumbled under his breath as he too let out a huff of air, his nerves coming back down from where they had been. "What were you thinking?!"
"That I'm so going to eat lunch with my crush." Uraraka said with a hint of pride and suddenly it didn't seem too bad that she had accidentally sent that message to the group chat, however her smile soon faded as she turned to look over at Deku. "Oh wait, but I promised that we'd stick together today..."
Midoriya frowned, but he didn't want to get in the way of his best friend and the person that she liked.
"Don't worry about it, I may not understand your feelings for him, but you should go." He said with a small half-hearted shrug. "You probably won't get another chance like this, he's definitely going to deny it ever happened if you don't eat with him."
"I guess you're right." Uraraka said with a new smile appearing on her face as she looked over towards where Bakugou had gone. "I'll do it, I'll eat lunch with him today."
"You are the bravest person I know." Deku said with a small smile that quickly turned into a grimace. "Well, that or you're just crazy."
"What can I say? I like to live dangerously." Uraraka said with a laugh that caused Deku to roll his eyes with a fondness that one could only have for someone that they truly cared about. Uraraka then stopped with a slight worry shining in her round eyes as she briefly tilted her head to the side. "So you're sure that you'll be okay without me for a bit?"
"Of course." Midoriya responded with a sure nod that only slightly faulted for very briefly. "It'll be just fine."
It was not fine!
Without having Uraraka there to be his rock and keep him grounded, the anxiety that he had been pushing away since they had gotten onto the bus came back to hit him with full force. It was true that nobody in the class really cared if he were gay or not, as evident by Tsuyu's words earlier and by the way some of his classmates would occasionally give him an encouraging look, but that didn't change the fact that he just felt to awkward about being around them while he knew that they knew. It was a hard feeling to understand, and one that he hoped that he would get over soon.
Remembering the time that he came out to Iida and Uraraka, he could vaguely remember a similar feeling of wanting to be alone, but it was at a much lesser scale since he had come out to them at his own accord.
Izuku let out a small sigh as he wondered around outside of the facility at a picnicking area, trying to find a nice secluded place to eat his lunch by himself in peace all the while vaguely wondering how Uraraka was doing with Bakugou. He hoped that she was okay, but you could never tell when it came to the explosion boy and if he did anything to bring harm to Izuku's best friend then there would be hell to pay; he just hoped that it wouldn't have to come to that.
Walking passed Ojiro, Tokoyami, and Shoji, the thoughts were pushed from Izuku's mind for the time being as the trio waved to him and he waved back. Ojiro had then asked him if he wanted to join them at their picnic table for lunch to which Izuku politely declined, to which they appeared to understand as they bid him a farewell.
Eventually the young hero-in-training had reached the edge of the clearing where the rest of his class was gathering for lunch, casually watching them from a distance as he trotted over to where a cluster of low-hanging trees were growing. A couple of benches had been placed around them under the shade and Izuku felt like it was the perfect place for him to eat his lunch, it was just far enough away that he felt calm, but without being far enough away that he couldn't see what his classmates were doing. They didn't have the best track-record when it came to any of their field trips or outing, so knowing that he could still keep a watchful eye over all of his friends should something go awry put his mind at even further ease.
Sitting down on one of the benches and opening up his box of lunch that he had brought, he casually looked out over the field of tables in an an attempt to spot Uraraka, but he couldn't spot her. The fact made him let out a sigh as she was probably eating somewhere else on the facility grounds, he doubted that Bakugou would really want an audience, especially if he was serious about starting something with Uraraka and was actually being nice to her. Instead, Izuku's eyes landed on Iida, watching as his other friend flitted around the group of high-schoolers as he made sure that everything was in order and even stopping at one of the tables to scold Mina for something that Izuku could only wonder about.
Letting out a small hum, Izuku turned back to his lunch, looking down at it and realizing that he wasn't too entirely hungry. He hadn't seen Todoroki since earlier and he was wondering where the other boy had gone off to, secretly hoping that he wasn't avoiding him for some reason; possibly the group chat or that weird event that happened on the bus. Izuku felt his face heating up and he was left to wonder if his feelings were as obvious as Uraraka had once told him they were, however, it was apparent that he was not going to be able to get the time to further think over his feelings as he sat there.
"Midoriya." That oh so familiar voice that send tingles of excitement down his spine said suddenly, causing Izuku to let out a small yelp as he jumped in surprise, nearly dropping his lunch all over onto the ground. Luckily, he was quick enough to snatch it up before that happened.
"Oh, h-hey, Todoroki." Izuku said as he looked up at his friend from where he was sitting to see that the boy in question was standing literally right in front of him, looking back down at him with those eyes that created butterflies within Izuku's stomach. "I didn't see you there."
Quite literally. Izuku was supposed to be keeping an eye on everything and yet here he was, unintentionally getting spooked by the very person that he had been looking for only moments earlier.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." Todoroki said to which Izuku gave him a shrug.
"Don't worry about it, it's okay." He replied, a silence rising up around them, but much to Izuku's surprise it was not an awkward one in the slightest and instead something about the calm quiet that surrounded them was very comforting. Izuku could feel a gentle smile growing on his face, even as Todoroki opened his mouth as if to say something before he decided against it and snapped his mouth shut once more.
Izuku watched as his friend awkwardly shuffled as if he didn't know what to do, before turning to walk over toward another bench that sat several feet away, sending a jolt of panic through the other.
"Would you like to sit with me?" Izuku blurted out before he could stop himself, his face flushing red as he quickly looked away, unable to look at Todoroki's slightly surprised expression. "I mean, if you want to."
"If you don't mind, but didn't you come here to be alone?" Todoroki asked as he walked back over to Izuku's side, sitting down right next to him even though there was enough space on the bench for three people. Izuku tried not to read more into that than it actually meant and instead chose to focus more on what Todoroki was saying.
"Am I really that obvious?" He asked with a sigh as he looked away, causing his friend to let out a thoughtful hum.
"Not particularly, no, however this does seem to be the place to go to be alone." Todoroki responded with the small shrug of his shoulders. "That's one of the reasons why I chose to come here."
Izuku knew that Todoroki often preferred to be my himself most of the time, though lately he had seemed to start to open up more with the rest of class of which Izuku was very glad for him, so he couldn't help but to ask.
"Why?"
"I... I'm actually avoiding Iida." Todoroki admitted after a pause, looking over at Izuku with his usual stoic expression appearing to be a little bit more nervous than usual. His friend then gave the tiniest of smiles, of which instantly melted Deku's heart, as his face became slightly more embarrassed than nervous. "I forgot my lunch and I already seen him give Ashido a very stern talking to and I wish to escape the same fate."
Izuku couldn't help the snicker that escaped his mouth, even as he quickly tried to cover it up with his hand, getting a huff out of Todoroki in response.
"Well, can't say that I blame you." Izuku said after his initial reaction. "Iida can be a pretty scary force of nature when it comes to things like that, especially since he did remind us all in the group..."
Izuku trailed off and instantly bit his lip as he was forcefully reminded of the event that had transpired the previous day that had led him here to this point of time. Todoroki carefully watched his face, but if he noticed the change in him, he didn't say and instead he just gave a simple nod in agreement to what Izuku had said.
"Um, if you want, I could give you some of my lunch." Izuku said slowly, wanting to change the subject as he glanced down at his lunch and then back over towards his friend.
"I couldn't ask you to do that, I'll be fine, we'll only be here for a few more hours." Todoroki replied, but not before Izuku noticed him give a sideways glance to the very food that he had brought up, it made the young hero-to-be grin as he reached down into the box of foods that he had brought.
"I'm not even that hungry, so I insist." Izuku said as he reached over to hand Todoroki half of his sandwich. "I probably brought too much anyway."
"If you're sure..." Todoroki said, trailing off as he looked to the sandwich that Izuku held out and then towards the boy himself before he slowly reached out and gently took a hold of the food almost as if he were some timid wild animal. Izuku briefly wondered if that was a weird analogy, but he did find that it seemed to fit in that instant, though all future thoughts soon ceased as he could feel Todoroki's hand ever so gently brushed up against his own. The two boys were quick to retreat away from each other with tingling fingers and flushing faces, Todoroki instantly turning away to focus on the sandwich as if it were the most interesting thing in the world.
Izuku's breath hitched in his throat as his pulse quickened from the meer contact and he had to question whether or not Todoroki could see how hopelessly smitten he was for him, he hoped not, that would make things weird. Though he couldn't help the intrusive thoughts that told him that he was already making his close friend uncomfortable, which was the last thing that Deku wanted to do, because he couldn't remember any other time before the group chat blunder where Todoroki had recoiled away from him such as that. It brought a deep-seated frown upon the green-haired boy's face.
"Todoroki, I..." Izuku began to say as the other returned his attention to him, both of their faces having returned to their normal color. "I'm really sorry about that, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable if I did."
At this a look of confusion appeared upon Todoroki's face and it made Deku internally sigh as now he would have to verbally voice his concerns.
"You know, you're one of my closest friends and I don't want to lose you because of... this." He said, voice barely above a whisper to which the other's expression softened up just a tad, though he still seemed like he wasn't entirely getting what Izuku was alluding to.
"What is the thing that makes you think I'll ever leave?" Todoroki's choice of wording sent light flutters throughout Izuku's body and made the green-haired boy so desperately want to reach forward to brush his lips against his friend's. However, he knew how to have some self-control, at least he hoped so anyway.
"You've read the group chat, right?" Izuku asked to which Todoroki guiltily nodded.
"I have, I'm sorry." The white and red-haired boy said. "If I had known that it was something personal between you and Uraraka, I would not have, but when everyone started to spam the chat, I became worried that something had happened so I opened it. I don't see what that has to do with anything, thought."
Izuku knew that his words should have put him at ease, but as Todoroki's confused expression became one of worry, it just made him all the more alarmed.
"You know, cause I'm... I like..." Izuku stuttered, finding the words even harder to say since the person that he was saying them to was Todoroki. "B-Because of the fact that I prefer the company of other men, instead of woman?"
It sounded like a question and Izuku supposed that it was true, he wasn't quite sure of his wording, there was still too much beating around the bush instead of just saying it out right and Deku hated it. He dared to look up at his friend, only to see his face become its usual stoic calm as if he were thinking over the other's words.
"Midoriya." Todoroki said in the voice that Izuku oh so loved, however this time, there was something else to his tone; there was a slight hint of anger, almost as if Todoroki had been offended by what Izuku had said. "Why do you think that would ever make me uncomfortable? That I would just leave you because you're gay?"
Izuku flinched at the statement, still so unsure about hearing it out loud, but if anything it just made him feel terrible. Uraraka, once again, was right and he instantly knew that he should have had more faith in Todoroki; he knew that he normally would have, but didn't quite understand why this blunder of all things was the thing to make him question everything that he had ever known.
"When you put it like that, it makes me feel dumb for thinking that you would." Izuku said, voice cracking as his eyes began to fill up with tears again, this was the thing that got Todoroki to wipe the negative emotions away from his face though he still held onto a small frown. "It's just this big complicated and confusing situation where I want to be open about who I am, but that thought terrifies me because I've heard so many horror stories of people losing family and friends over stuff like this and it's terrible. Plus, it was another one of the things that I was bullied for in junior high-"
He was muttering again, he knew he was, but he just couldn't stop himself as he poured all of his insecurities onto Todoroki as if the fire and ice user didn't have enough to worry about already. However, all things quickly vanished as Izuku's mind went completely blank, all caused by the gentle hand he felt encircling his own; making him stop his talking and instead look over towards the person that it belonged to. Though upon looking, it appeared that Todoroki was looking away from him, which he was almost kind of glad for as it allowed him to blink away some of his tears without having to worry about the other seeing it.
"I can't say that I can entirely relate to the things that you are saying because I find that I don't really fancy men as you do." Todoroki said, still not looking at him and oh no, Izuku could feel his gentle heart breaking because Uraraka was wrong. "Though, I guess that I don't really fancy women all that much either, but if there's one thing that I do know..."
Todoroki finally looked up and Deku could have sworn that he felt his heart skip a beat at the fond gaze that the other was giving him, his hand even going as far as to give the other's a reassuring squeeze.
"I do find that I rather fancy you, Midoriya, and what other people may say or think about you does not matter in the slightest to me." Todoroki said and maybe Deku had stopped breathing all together because, oh no, Uraraka was actually right. "Plus, I am very powerful and can take down anyone who is ever mean to you."
The last bit was said with a contagious smile that was only able to break Izuku out of his revere just a little bit.
"Oh." Was all that was able to escape from his mouth in that moment, which he would be kicking himself about later on. Todoroki didn't seem to mind this, however, as he simply removed his hand from Deku's to instead wipe away the other boy's tears as if it were the most casual gesture in the world.
"Midoriya, I-" Todoroki began before he was cut short by the sharp sound of a shrill whistle going off. The noise jolting the two to attention and bringing back the world around them as they both practically leaped away from each other.
However, it turned out not to be anything too worrying as they saw that it was simply Iida attempting to herd the rest of their classmates away.
"The designated lunch period is now over so please return to your tours, you can explore by yourselves but it is recommended to use the buddy system!" They could hear his voice as clear as day from where they were sitting and then he blew the whistle once again, making all the others groan and even getting a glare from Aizawa.
"Where did you even get that thing?" Their teacher was saying as Deku let out a sigh that he tried not to let sound too disappointed.
"We should probably head back now." He said to which Todoroki was quick to stand up from his seat on the bench, pausing to look back at Izuku. Their lunches having been long forgotten about.
"Would you like to accompany me around the museum?" He asked, his voice giving away his nerves more than his face in that moment, bringing a small to Izuku's face as the red and white-haired boy held out his hand.
"Sure that sounds like a lot of fun." Izuku responded without hesitation as he reached forward and grasped a hold of Todoroki's hand, allowing the other to pull him up and begin to lead him back towards the facility's building; their hands remaining linked together the entire time.
Izuku was unsure how long they were like that, just him and Todoroki, exploring the museum together with interlocked hands with a comforting silence as neither one brought up their previous conversation. They simply felt like they hadn't needed to, at least for the time being anyway, as they were more than happy enough to just spend their time at the museum together. The only occasional sound being one of Midoriya's excited rambles as he would point something out to Todoroki and flood him a mountain of information, though the other did not seem to mind and would just give one of his small smiles while nodding every once in awhile to show Midoriya that he was still paying attention.
Initially, Izuku had felt odd holding Todoroki's hand, especially every time they passed by another museum-goer that they didn't know. However, as time slowly passed and nobody even spared them a second glance for being two boys holding hands, he finally allowed himself to relax.
"I'm not saying that the classic hero costumes were bad, some of my favorite designs were classic." Izuku was saying to Todoroki as the duo walked out of the hero costumes hall and into advanced weaponry. "I just think that they could have found a much more functional material to use than spandex."
"Isn't your hero costume made out of spandex?"
"Don't you judge me!"
The two found themselves letting out light laughter as they walked along, nearly passing by Yaoyorozu, Jirou and Ashido without even noticing. The three girls were glued to a large picture hanging on the wall of blueprint plans for some sort of canon-like device, Yaoyorozu appeared to be taken down notes on it within a notebook while the other two kept her company and lightly chatted. As Midoriya and Todoroki passed by, Jirou suddenly noticed them.
"Oh, hey guys." She said, getting Ashido and Yaoyorozu's attention, the latter seeming to beam at the sight of the two boys together. Todoroki lazily waved at them with his free hand, coming to a stop to stand with the girls while Midoriya nervously shuffled to stand just slightly behind the boy whose hand he was currently holding.
"Are you two enjoying the museum?" Yaoyorozu had asked with a gentle smile, easing up Midoriya's nerves as the boy felt it safe enough to come out of hiding finally.
"Oh yea, we definitely are!" Midoriya said excitedly, his usual self finally seeming to come back as he casually brought up his free hand to his chin in pondering. "We've already gone through the entire second floor and we're almost done with the third."
"Us too." Jirou said with a shrug. "Though I think we may have skipped a few exhibits."
"I thought about doing that, but I wanted to try to take in as much as I could before we have to leave." Midoriya stated with a large grin on his face that was mainly brought on by Todoroki subconsciously rubbing circles into his hand with his thumb.
"Classic Midoriya." Ashido was saying with a laugh as she grinned as well. "Hey, I'm glad to see you feeling back to your usual self."
Yaoyorozu and Jirou were quick to send warning glares towards the pink girl, but it turned out that they were unneeded as Midoriya let out a small laugh, albeit a slightly nervous sounding one.
"Yea, I was just going through a rough time, I'm in a better mood now." The green-haired boy answered much to everybody's relief around him.
"Well, we're glad to hear that, Midoriya." Yaoyorozu said, her smile never wavering. "Everyone was really worried about you, and Uraraka too, of course."
"It's kind of weird to see you guys so mopey." Jirou said with a shrug as she turned back towards the picture on the wall while the other two girls and also Todoroki seemed to agree with her, making Midoriya blush at their worry and kind words. As the two small groups casually merged into one as they decided to join each other for the rest of the trip, Midoriya found himself in a much better place than he had been in.
The group had eventually decided to move on to the next blueprint and Midoriya found himself quite frequently looking over at Todoroki, one of the times he did both of their eyes ending up meeting. Again, neither really broke the silence between the two of them as the girls casually chatted away, and Midoriya was soon forgetting all of the worries that had been drowning him all day. Sure, they were still there and he was sure that they would be for a long time, but for now he was happy and he could deal with them.
It went on like this for the rest of the trip, which unfortunately only lasted about another twenty minutes or so as the ground had been rounding a corner when a loud crash followed by the sound of something shattering met their ears.
"What-" Yaoyorozu had been about to ask just as both Kaminari and Sero came dashing out of side room, running right past the larger group with terrified looking faces.
"Dudes, run!" Kaminari shouted as he passed by, getting confused looks from the others as the two of them vanished down another hallway.
"What did I tell you kids?!" Came Aizawa's angered shout from where the two had originally came from, striking fear into Midoriya's group's hearts.
"Field trip over." Jirou stated as she grabbed a hold of Yaoyorozu's wrist in order to pull the other girl down the same hallway that Kaminari and Sero had gone, quickly followed after by Ashido, despite their entire party being innocent of the crimes.
However, Midoriya could completely understand their fear as he suddenly heard Aizawa's footsteps coming from in the room's direction and he too suddenly felt his fight or flight instinct kick in to which his grasp on Todoroki's hand tightened as he turned tail to run after the others. Unfortunately he didn't make it very far as his companion appeared to be frozen in place, the green-haired boy was quick to shoot him a worried look which only became even more so as he realized that Todoroki's expression appeared to be rather unsure as he stared down at their conjoined hands.
"Todoroki, we gotta go." Midoriya said, giving another light tug on his friend's hand which seemed to get him to look up at him, their eyes meeting once again.
"I've had something on my mind all day, and I've been trying to work up the courage to voice it." Todoroki stated, voice completely calm almost like their angry home room teacher wasn't just about to put the hurt on them.
"Can't it wait?"
"No, if I don't do it before we leave the museum and you stop holding my hand, I don't think I'll ever be able to." Todoroki said as if he was positive that we would not be able to, the determined look on his face making Midoriya let out a small sigh, their teacher forgotten for the time being.
"Okay, what is it?" Midoriya asked, his voice gentle as he tilted his head to the side slightly, noting the flush of red that appeared on his friend's face as he opened his mouth once again to speak.
"I have something to ask you."
"Really? Since the sports festival?" Bakugou was asking as he sat back in his seat on the bus, arms crossed as they waited for the rest of their classmates to show up and board.
"Well, maybe it was a little bit afterwards, but pretty." Uraraka was saying from where she sat next to him, the two casually chatting away since they were pretty much the only ones on the bus in that moment. "I think it was our fight that sparked it, oddly enough."
"Yea, it was the fight for me too, I think." Bakugou grumbled, still pretty awkward about talking about his feelings, which Uraraka found to be both hilarious and adorable. "Though you do realize that I kicked your ass in that fight, right? Now you're saying that that made you get feelings for me?"
"What can I say? I like to live dangerously." Uraraka responded, getting a series of laughter out of the blond-boy.
"That... That's a good one."
"Hey!"
The gravity girl let out a sigh as she leaned back, all in all, their lunch together had turned out alright; she could even describe it as great and now the two had even made plans to hang out again. They weren't exactly dating officially yet, but if things turned out okay then they just might end up that way and all because she just didn't have the thought to check the chat's name before she sent her message. Though it did happen to be at the cost of Deku's mental health, of which she felt utterly horrible and as though she couldn't completely enjoy herself knowing that her friend was by himself and probably freaking out on this day that was suppose to be fun. A frown appeared on her face as she thought about it, maybe she could make it up to him and the two of them could go get some ice-cream or something later.
"What's wrong?" Bakugou asked casually as he noticed her face fall, Uraraka instantly perked up a little bit as she responded with a half-hearted shrug.
"It's nothing, I was just thinking about the whole group chat incident." Ochako said with a sigh, trying to casually brush over the subject as Deku's and Bakugou's relationship was still rather rough around the edges. "I'm just kind of worried about Deku, he was kind of in a bad place earlier. Bakugou seemed to give a grunt of affirmation, or maybe it was a scoff, as he turned his head towards the window to look and see if any of their classmates were coming along yet. Thus, he did end up seeing something that caught his attention.
"Eh, I don't think you have to worry about that damn nerd." Bakugou said suddenly, getting Ochako's attention as the girl leaned over him to see what he was pointing at, a smile appearing on her face as she saw.
Just outside of the museum's main entrance was Midoriya, but what was most surprising to her was that he was standing amongst a group of their classmates; that being Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Jirou, Ashido, Kaminari and Sero. They all appeared to be out of breath for some reason, but there was no mistaking the fact that they were all laughing and appeared to be having a great time, and of the group Midoriya's smile was the largest as he held onto the sleeve of Todoroki's shirt.
Uraraka felt a relieved sigh escape her as she watched the group begin to move along closer towards the bus, but not before Midoriya stopped and pulled Todoroki to the side. As the rest of their group continued on, those two stayed behind as the green-haired boy appeared to be saying something of importance to the other, pulling his phone out of his pocket for what must have been the first time since yesterday. He was looking down at it with brief concern before looking back up at Todoroki, and despite it being very small, Uraraka noticed the white and red-haired boy giving the other a nod. For the first time she wished that her quirk was really good hearing as she watched Deku saying something before he looked back at his phone and began typing something.
A moment later, Bakugou's phone went off.
"Huh?" The blond muttered as he pulled it out, instantly opening up the group chat, quickly reading it over and rolling his eyes at whatever was said there. The phone then went off a few more times in rapid succession and Uraraka's curiosity could no longer take it as she leaned over Bakugou's shoulder to try and get a look at what was being said.
"Hey, use your own damn phone." The blond grunted as he attempted to keep his phone away from the girl.
"I left it in my dorm!" She retorted with a huff that received an over-exaggerated sigh from Bakugou as he relented and allowed Ochako to take a hold of his phone without any other complaints.
Uraraka's eyes then scanned over the messages on the phone's tiny screen, the largest smile that she's ever had appearing on her face.
Red Riot: Um... my dudes, I think you accidentally sent this to the class chatroom.
Bakugou: WHAT
Earphone Jack: Oh my god, you guys.
Froppy: Don't worry too much, we love and support you anyways, even if Uraraka has questionable taste in men.
Bakugou: EXCUSE ME
Invisible Girl: Wait, Deku, you're gay? You've never told us that before, but don't worry we support you!
Red Riot: MY DUDE, you mean we could have totally been talking gushing about manly men this whole time?
Pinky: Anyone who doesn't respect the gays in class 1A or Uraraka's questionable taste in men is going to catch these acid hands.
Bakugou: GO TO HELL
Creati: They haven't been responding at all, I am a bit worried.
Froppy: I would imagine that they are both mortified.
Tenya: I would suggest leaving them be for now and returning the class chat back to it's usual professionalism.
Chargebolt: Okay, mom.
Pinky: Thanks, mom!
Tenya: Please, do not forget your lunches for the field trip today! Remember that lunch will not be provided at the venue.
Chargebolt: Okay, mom.
Pinky: Thanks, mom!
Deku: Wow, thanks for the kind words everyone, sorry that me and Uraraka ended up worrying you all. I can't speak for her, but I found myself in a funk since yesterday, I'm feeling a lot better now though.
Tailman: That's good to hear, man.
Invisible Girl: We all love you! Both of you!
Deku: I'm seriously going to cry, you guys! Tears of joy, though! Also... Um, yea I really am gay, but I'm not completely out yet though so please don't tell anyone else okay?
Tentecole: Of course, Midoriya. We would never betray your trust like that.
Red Riot: Bro, this is great we need to hang out and talk about gay stuff all day!
Deku: Sure! :)
Deku: Anyway, all of that being said and done, I just wanted to make another announcement if that's okay. I just wanted to say:
Deku: I LOVE MY NEW BOYFRIEND HE'S SO SWEET AND THE GREATEST PERSON EVER AND I WOULD LEGIT PUNCH LIKE 100000 VILLIANS FOR HIM
Red Riot: Wait, what?!
Invisible Girl: A new development?!
Shoto: I love you too, Izuku.
Red Riot: WAIT WHAT
Invisible Girl: OMG
Pinky: POWER COUPLE! POWER COUPLE!
Creati: We literally only left you two alone for like five seconds, but anyway, congratulations you guys.
Earphone Jack: You work fast, lol.
Bakugou: 'Yea, get it Deku!' -Ochako
Froppy: Is it possible that there have been two hookups in the class today?
Red Riot: We focused so much on Deku that we ended up forgetting about Uraraka and her questionable taste in men! This is scandelous.
Bakugou: LEAVE ME ALONE
Tenya: Hello everyone! While I wish to congratulate the happy couples, there are more pressing matters to attend to. It would appear that one of the older exhibits in the advanced weapons hall has been vandalized and Aizawa and I are currently on the search for the culprit(s). So if you have seen any suspicious characters lurking about, please let one of us know.
Cellophane: Uh oh.
Chargebolt: Sorry, mom...
Oh yes, they were going to do just fine.
