This is a poem about a story I read here called Harry Potter and the Power of Betrayal by Bliss. It is a great work of art that deserves to be read over and over. I strongly suggest that you check it out. I'm not very good at writing poetry so take it easy on me.
The Darkest Hour
What, under midnight stars I see?
But, a mysterious creature staring back at me.
It seemed out of place where it didn't belong,
It had a powerful body, sleek and strong.
I could see, but I did not know,
If this beautiful creature was friend or foe.
Fire leapt where his hooves hit the ground,
It will live in me, a new home found.
In my dreams it has haunted me,
But now I know about my destiny.
His inky coat, a raven black,
I knew after this I could never turn back.
As the lightening split the blackened sky,
Something shimmering caught my eye.
The horn on his head was glinting like steal,
Once I saw this I knew it couldn't be real.
An eerie mist billowed through his nose,
Though there wasn't a chill, no cold wind blows.
Lately I've been sick and not to well,
But this creature has raised me from my private hell.
Into this animal I will shift and change,
Though all has been killed from the open range.
I now have the power to shatter the dark,
Although my heart feels empty and stark.
Its jet black eyes held misery and hate,
I knew in a moment it would be to late.
In the war, its darkest hour,
I reached out to take the power.
This could bring the dark lord to his knees,
Charging him down in the dark nights breeze.
The fate of the world now rests with me,
What have I become but an animagi.
Well, I hope you all enjoyed it (that is those of you who actually wanted to read this bad poem). Please read and review.
