A/N: High school AU! Hooray! I got the inspiration for this story when I was studying for my language finals. Thank god French courses are over and done with. I'm very excited to post my first story on . I hope you enjoy ^_^

"Pretty please with a cherry on top?" Jonghyun whines, shaking his shoulders side to side in a greasy display of aegyo.

"Ugh, god, don't do that." Key recoils, shifting so that the magazine he's reading turns into a glossy shield.

"I just need you to read over it once. Just check it one time." Jonghyun inches closer, French assignment in hand. "You're getting a ninety-six in languages and Mr Cho is threatening to fail me if I don't get this in. You're not going to let me be held back a year, are you? Who are you going to drag out to parties Friday nights? Who's going to put up with your bitching about the school uniforms? Who's going to-"

"Fine, fine, I got it," Key sighs, tugging the paper out of Jonghyun's hands.

Jonghyun cheers, waving his arm around and nearly smacking Minho in the face.

"Watch it, hyung," Minho grumbles.

"Sorry, Minho. So what do you think? How is it?" Jonghyun leans close to Key.

The other boy doesn't say anything, but his eyes widen as he reads and Jonghyun thinks they're in danger of popping out by the end of the first paragraph.

"You- no wonder you're failing," Key finally says, disbelief coloring his features.

"That bad?" Jonghyun asks meekly.

"And worse."

Minho's interested now, shuffling over and reading over Key's shoulder. The three of them look at the piece of paper solemnly, and Minho, without warning, breaks into hearty laughter.

Jonghyun frowns at the younger boy, who falls into a kneeling position in his hysterics. "What's the matter with you?"

Minho tries to speak but the words are smothered by his giggles. "I-I need water," he makes out, and staggers to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Key's gaze is burning a hole in Jonghyun's face.

"I can't tell whether you did this on purpose or if you really have a knack for making ridiculous mistakes," Key says, index finger drawing lines across the page.

"Here, I'll read it aloud and you can tell me what you think is wrong. Ahem. J'ai passé un très bon weekend. Dans le matin, je mangeais des œfs et un salaud." Pausing, he looks pointedly at Jonghyun. "Just stop me when you hear something wrong,"

Jonghyun nods, and when he puts on his best 'I'm paying attention' face Key sighs theatrically. Snapping the page, he starts reading again.

"Dans l'après-midi, j'allais au parc. Il y a beaucoup de connards."

Another sharp glance and Jonghyun feels a jab of annoyance. "What do you want me to say? There were a lot of ducks at the park!"

"J'étais éxité, et quand j'arrivais chez moi j'ai baisé mon chien Roo." Key drops the paper and lowers his face into his hands, shaking his head.

"I gave my dog a kiss on the nose when I got home, what's wrong with that?" Jonghyun says, offended.

"Jonghyun, un baiser is a kiss. You used the past participle of baiser, which means 'to fuck'."

"Oh," Jonghyun replies weakly.

Minho leans into the doorway to add, "Also, hyung, you said that there were a lot of assholes at the park. And that you ate a bastard for breakfast."

Slack-jawed, Jonghyun picks up his assignment from the floor and stares at it forlornly.

Key puts a hand on Jonghyun's shoulder, and with a serious expression, offers his best advice. "Normally, Jonghyun, I'd recommend a tutor. But you said this is due soon, right? Like, tomorrow soon?"

Jonghyun nods.

Key takes out his cell phone and starts dialling a number. "Even google translate would be better than this, but don't do that. I know a kid who'll write your assignment for fifty bucks, at most. You're lucky he gives me discounts. Oh, Jinki, hi. I have a favor to ask."
