A Mirror Named Desire
Harry walked from the room and Albus stood. He walked slowly toward the mirror. Resisting the urge to look into the glass, he examined the classroom.
'Hmm…this could be used as a classroom again…' he thought.
He walked around the class, examining the desks and the closet. He came to a stop in front of the mirror again. Finally, the urge to look into the mirror was overpowering. Against his will, Albus looked into the glass.
As always, he saw himself, a happy, smiling Albus. His parents stood next to him, his mother on his right, his father on his left. Each was smiling joyously. Aberforth stood in front of his mother, holding Albus's hand. He too was smiling.
But the best was still to come. As one, the family turned to look behind them as a small, golden-haired girl hurtled into their midst. Without a word, she catapulted herself into Albus's waiting arms. He lifted her up and the rest of the family engulfed them in a hug, laughing, smiling and loving being together.
Albus sank down in front of the mirror. He could stay here all night. If only what it showed was real.
He stood, and with one longing glance back at the mirror, he left the room, angrily swiping away the tears.
~AN: yeah, it kinda came to me in the middle of class and I had to write it down. I liked the idea of angsty Albus. Like it?
