A/N: I have the musical "Chicago" on the brain right now, and this song came to me – and again, it is based on Stephanie Simpson from "Being The Oldest" and "Being The Slave". I am still writing "Being The Slave", but I just wrote this and wanted to put it up first. It's basically about Stephanie's ambitions, sang to the tune of the "Chicago" song "Roxie". The lines about isle fever and Troy McClure are purely inspired by Sideshow Cellophane 26's wonderful fanfic "Someone's Island", which I advise you to check out if you haven't already. So please read and review!
Disclaimer: I own the lyrics, and Stephanie. Nothing else.
The name on all of Springfield's lips is gonna be Steph'nie
The girl that's raking in the chips is gonna be Steph'nie
I'm gonna be a sensation, that means
Everyone wants to know me
They're gonna remember my eyes
My hair, my clothes, all that they see
From just the oldest Simpson kid, I'm gonna be Steph'nie
Who says that fortune isn't fun?
And who even with isle fev-ar
Can show that she's a future star?
Steph Simpson!
Guys...
(They're gonna wait outside theatres to get to see)
Steph'nie
Think of the shoving that'll come "I have to see..."
(Steph'nie)
And I'll be there, they will glance and stare, at this girl all dressed in black
(She's a goth, she's a star, she's the newest in Springfield)
I have talent the whole town lack
Oh, I'm a star!
And Springfield just loves me!
And they're OK
And they love me for saying that, and I like them for loving me
And we like each other
And that's cause Springfield never bred a star before I was born
And that's the town...
Kid.
(She's giving up on routine life)
I'm gonna be – sing it!
(Steph'nie)
(She has the high school watching her)
And Troy McClure will be sorry
He didn't chance to wake up me
Steph Simpson!
(Steph'nie) Repeat to fade out
Now. Please, please, please review?
