Because Arthur and Alice are my most favorite OTP EVER!…i've decided to do a bunch of one-shots featuring them in various situations…enjoy:)

4th of July

When thinking back on her life there is always one thing that was consistent throughout it…Arthur. Alice could not remember a time when he wasn't there for her…They have known each other since they were little kids…they were always there for each other as much as best friends could be there for each other. They looked after one another and chased off other countries that would try and take them over. As the human personifications of England and Wonderland they are forces to be reckoned with…but then Alice's older sister Sierenia abandoned her and disappeared leaving her all alone. Scared she turned to the one person she knew she could trust…Arthur. He promises her that he would always be there to take care of her and protect her even when she no longer needed him too and he kept his word and now its her turn. It was the July 4th and Alice knew exactly what that meant for Arthur…absolute depression and feelings of being a failure. She followed him to the pub he chose to drink at and found him at the bar numerous drinks in and crying his eyes out. Alice was fierce, merciless and according to Antonio (Spain), Francis (France) and Gilbert (Prussia) she was the most terrifying being they've ever come across so it seemed impossible for her to become heart broken. Well whoever said that was wrong…looking at the person she cared for most in this world crying his eyes out tore her heart to pieces. She walked over and took a seat next to him…pushing her long raven black hair out if her emerald green eyes she took in his appearance. His usually messy golden blond locks were disheveled and all over the place, his bushy eyebrows were furrowed and his emerald green eyes were puffy, red and still full of tears. She lightly touched his arm and he looked up as she smiled towards him. The next thing she new he threw himself at her hugging her. She began rubbing his back to try and comfort him…She knew The Revolutionary War was both of their faults but right now Alice wishes she could just take a sledgehammer and bash Alfred's American head in.

"Shh…Arthur it will be okay" Alice says trying to sooth him.

"N-No (hic) it (hic) won't" he slurs and cries letting Alice know he's already drunk.

"Yes it will…" Alice replies.

"N-No it won't…everyone (hic) leaves me…everyone" Arthur says.

"I haven't" Alice says and that was true…after Sirenia abandoned her Arthur took over and unlike all the other countries that were under his control Alice refused to leave him. She would rather spend the rest of eternity under his rule then leave the love of her life alone. Thats right Alice loved Arthur with all of her heart which is why she agreed to never leave him…she couldn't even if she wanted to…she loved him way to much.

"Arthur I promise I will never leave you…ever" she says to him as he pulls away. He smiles at her before he leans in and places his lips on hers and kisses her passionately as she kisses him back just as passionately.

"I (hi) love you Alice" Arthur says.

"I love you too Arthur…always" Alice says back.
