We spoke of many things that night. While paramedics swarmed around us, we two pinned by the car wreckage and numb from shock, we told each other our life stories. Despite the situation, her strong spirit and love of life sparkled in her eyes. Something swelled inside me. Time was against us, though. To save me, they had to move the car pining her, unstopping debris that clogged her injuries and kept her from loosing blood. She never stood a chance. I remember the moment the light left her eyes.

The woman I loved died the day I met her.

A/N: I finally decided to attempt one of these 100-word fics. This idea has been bouncing around in my head for awhile, despite how morbid it is. I might expand it, as I originally intended on doing, if it gets a good response. The concept was somewhat inspired by an episode of Grey's Anatomy (yes, I am slightly obsessed with the show). I hope you all are having a wonderful New Year's. Please do be sure to review.
