Chul wiped his tears away and looked away from the concerned, imploring eyes of his friends. That's right; in this room, at this moment, they were his friends, people he had shared his best and worst times with, and not his personal assistant and bodyguard.

It would seem like the trio would be a seamless, albeit dysfunctional unit, but Chul felt the loss of something he wasn't sure he ever had. Was it his family? The gaping hole they had left him seemed fresher in his mind than he could remember, and the dull, throbbing pain of loss was becoming suffocating.

"Chul! What's wrong? Are you hurting?" So Hee's voice snapped him out of his reverie. He offered a taut grin.

"No, I'm fine. I know I shouldn't have to ask, but is my schedule taken care of?"

And with that, they resumed their employer-employee relationship. Friendship could take a backseat to his purpose in life – finding the killer.
