Len have always fallen in love with the person who moves in next door to the apartment that's only be open since early this year.

First, there was Luka. She came between the turn of winter and spring. Her eyes were warm, her smile unreadable, and she was beautiful. The woman wore mystery like perfume, having only ever let slip one piece of personal information. She is apparently from Paris. But when asked about the city; even for the easiest, tiniest bit of detail, she shrugs and lets out a bemused smile. Luka lied and she did not care to even hide that fact, as if signaling a warning; stop right there, do not fall in love with me.

But stories often take difficult turns and Len soon found his pulse racing at Luka's smiles, most having not reach her eyes. It is only simple infatuation, he tells himself. That is, until one early morning on her balcony when he had casually asked about the woman's past, a little too tipsy to remember that the woman will never reply with anything more than a hollow smirk.

However, Luka had as much to drink as Len and she decided to indulge. "What is done, is done. The past holds as many regrets as it does lessons. The things learned will erase the sorrow. No point to wallow in misery when you can ensure a future where you will not be hurt by a previous pain." She lets out a wild laugh that flew away with the wind.

Len remembers having to hold his breath as the picturesque scene played out.

The colors of the rising sun painted the sky; pastels of pinks, oranges, and blues reflected in thin, wispy clouds. Luka caught the light. Her smile was sad and her eyes seemed to be a sunrise all on its own, emotions stir in place of colors.

The moment was one of rare weakness that Luka had unknowingly let slip. It felt personal. Private. At least for the woman who kept her emotions guarded and insincere. She's never laughed like this before, or even at all.

Len wished he'd just said what his heart had beaten out; I love you. No matter if he'd whispered it to the crisp air or yelled it to the sun. She didn't need to hear it. The words were more of him than her, a realization rather than a confession.

But as Luka had said; What is done, is done. The woman was gone, fleeing in the cover of night, leaving only payment for her stay and a red lipstick stained coffee mug in the sink. Nothing will bring her back.

Spring began with the absence of Luka, but in its wake brought Kaito.

Having wrote this at 5 in the morning, I believe its a little rough. The idea hit me over the head like a baseball to a window. The overall story will be 4 chapters long (with Rin as endgame! Rin/Len all the way!) and with 4 extra chapters in the POV of Luka, Kaito, Miku, and Rin of the events during their respective chapters, before their chapters, or even the aftermath of meeting Len.

Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed the story thus far. Please look forward to the update!~
