The beginning of the end
I woke up to the clattering of horse hooves on a rocky dirt road and I looked around seeing Ralof, an old friend of mine, a thief, and the Jarl of Windhelm, Ulfric Stormcloak, himself. We were in an imperial prisoner cart. "Oh by the fucking nine!" I swore "Of course, I'd be mistaken for a fucking Stormcloak." Ralof tried to talking to me but one glare shut him up quickly. "At least three of us will be going to Sovgarde." I said looking at the thief, Lokir, and spat at his feet before we got off the cart. After the line was cut down to me, and imperial clerk looked to me "Who are you?" he asked slowly as if I didn't speak common "Vladimir Ebonfire of the Companions of Jorrvaskr." I said and he looked to the captain "Captain, what do we do? He's not on the list." He asked fearful of the woman's reply. She looked at me and snarled "Forget the list! He goes to the block!" I walked by and spat at her feet "fuck you" I growled and watched as Tullius berated Ulfric and I laughed "Damn idiots, don't realize who fucking started this petty war" I thought and looked around until I heard the captian call for me to step up the block. As I was walking up to the block, I heard a bone chilling roar. I looked up at the tower from my position with my head on the block and my eyes grew wide. A dragon, a bloody dragon with eyes as red as Daedric hearts, and scales as black as pitch and jagged as mountains landed on the tower and shouted something causing the headsman to stumble. I got up quickly and followed Ralof into a tower near the inn.
I wasted no time at all running up the tower ignoring them, as soon as I got near the second floor however, the dragon broke the wall and shouted the words "YOL TOOR SHUL"… wait did the fucking thing just talk? I thought to myself as the dragon flew off to roast more people after burning a Stormcloak soldier to a crisp. I walked up to the hole and saw through the smoke that the roof of the inn had a gaping hole in it. I sighed and jumped rolling as I hit the floor to soften the blow and I got up dusting myself off and jumped down to the ground level. I looked around and saw the door was open and ran out and stopped as the dragon landed near a man that was on the ground wounded and roasted him as well. The clerk, whose name I later learned was Hadvar, saw me and told me to follow him. I shrugged to myself and followed him into the keeps courtyard and into the keep itself.
A few hours later
We exited the cave under Helgen and I looked around "I need to get back to Whiterun," I muttered "Vilkas will have my pay and I can get some decent sleep" Hadvar looked at me in disbelief "You were serious? You really are a companion?" he asked shocked, I laughed and nodded "Aye. That I am, Hadvar. And proud to be from a long line of Companions as well." We walked down the road in silence and I stopped and looked at the Guardian Stones and went straight for the Warrior Stone. It lit up with magickal energy and a beam shot up into the skies above as I could feel its blessing.
