Ok, so I've got my first Astronomy test tomorrow morning, and I should probably be studying for that, but I saw a gif on Tumblr from The Rough Patch, and I got this idea that was too stinkin' cute to leave alone. So I wrote this. Super cutesy fluff. Hope you like it!

The gif is from this scene, I'm just too lazy to search for the actual gif.
"Ro-BIN!"
Barney stood in front of the full length mirror in their bedroom, running his hand over his lower abdomen. He was still slightly reeling from the excitement of the party that had just ended, but he could swear there was a small paunch jutting out right underneath his belly button, an area that was usually flat and rather toned.
Robin entered the room. "What? What's the matter?"
Barney turned to face his wife. "Look at me. I'm hideous."
Robin ran her eyes up and down her husband's frame. "What are you talking about?"
"THIS." Barney motioned to his stomach, turning back to stare at his body in the mirror. "I'm getting fat."
Robin smirked, nuzzling into Barney's side and patting his stomach. "You mean your belly? I think it's cute."
Barney stared at her, a look of shock on his face. "Cute? Are you serious? Wait... you noticed I was gaining weight and didn't say anything?"
"Barn, it's not that noticeable, trust me."
"Um, obviously it is noticeable. Lily pointed it out to me, said it's what happens when married couples settle. We're not settled, though, right? We're not some lame Marshall-and-Lily couple?"
Robin wasn't paying attention. She took Barney by the shoulders, turning him to face her, then bumped her rather large baby belly against his stomach. "Boop." she whispered, giggling.
"What are you doing?"
Robin continued to laugh. "Look, we kind of match. You have a bump and I have a bump."
"Robin, this isn't funny or cute. You have a bump, you're carrying our little girl. I'm just fat."
"Chubby," Robin corrected him. "And I've heard that sometimes husbands will gain a bit of weight while their wives are pregnant. Like a sympathy belly or something. We're not getting lame, it's probably just stress from all of the baby stuff."
Barney groaned in disgust, watching his wife as she continued to giggle and rub his abdomen. He reached around her, pulling off the pink and white sash emblazoned with the words "Mommy-to-be" that was draped over her shoulder. He smirked, planting a kiss on her cheek before turning back to the mirror. "So what are we going to do about this?"
"What do you mean?"
"Please, Robin. I'm Barney Stinson. I'm a stud, a modern-day Adonis. I need my chiseled abs and devilishly good looks, or I'm not going to be me."
Robin placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's fine, Barn. Two more months, and Miss Emmy will be here. Then I will be trying to shed the extra weight I've gained, you can just join me then."
"Fine," Barney sighed. He hung his head, his shoulders drooping slightly. "I guess I can wait."
Robin rubbed his shoulders, then smirked as she swiveled him around again. Barney looked at her questioningly, then groaned as she bumped her belly against his once more. "Boop."
"You're not helping, Robin!"
