A young MudWing, naturally curious, flew above her home Kingdom, forcing herself to not wave goodbye. Salamander would've grounded her in a lonely cave. The young MudWing, whom named Pebble, couldn't survive the first few minutes. She wouldn't; couldn't. She always had to be with her friend, Egret. Although they were inseparable, Pebble hadn't quite persuaded her to come with her, wherever they would go.

Pebble was now high above her Kingdom, and could only see boggy terrain and stumpy trees; no dragons. As she spread her wings to full span, she felt wind fumbling over and under the membrane, making her feel free.

She lowered, touching leaves and the occasional branch as she outstretched a talon. She moved over left, and touched the ground, her gliding turning into galloping. After a few minutes of running, Pebbles chest was heaving. She forced to drag her talons out and in in a walking motion, and remembered why she came here in the first place.

She had went to an elder MudWing the day before, whom named Blackberry, had told her a story of a legendary stone. "Its power, is that it can turn dragon into a different animal of the wielders desire. But, if you ever find that stone, don't turn us into cows."

Pebble opened her eyes as she finished the memory. She lifted into the air, daydreaming. She eventually ran into stone, bumping her snout on it. She fell to the ground, rubbing the bruise, and looked up.

She gasped in awe. Pebble, a rather naive MudWing, had just found the cave of the animal stone.

Without thinking Pebble ran inside and looked around. It was rather dark, despite there being only a few clouds outside. Only some light shed through a hole in the roof of the cave, which lead to a round stone, which sat in an anthill-like dip.

Pebble ran over to the stone, and picked it up, the rock smooth against her rather dry talons. She gazed at it in awe. "Woah…" She said, turning it over in her talons, as if to find a flaw in it. "So, this pathetic rock can turn dragons into animals of my desire?" She dropped the stone carelessly (which didn't take any damage), and looked at her talons. "So, with these two talons," She wiggled them, "I can change the whole of Pyrrhia!"

"What do you think you're doing?"

Pebble looked around as a talon touched her shoulder. She turned, grabbing the stone, and saw a face, a MudWing. It was Salamander.

Pebble let out a shriek and fell over, rather slowly. Her shock turned into ferocity, and she cried out, "You are not taking this! I, uh, found it first, if nothing else made it!" Salamanders brow lowered. "A rock? What do you think a rock can-" She paused, inspecting the rock. She clambered forward. "You are not having that!" Pebble lifted into the air, her chest heaving, trying to get a grip of the stone. She fell to the ground, Salamander rushing over. Pebble knocks her over and inches toward the stone. She whispered to it, "I wish we were a small, furry animal, but with claws and teeth and can fight.

Pebble closed her eyes for as long as she thought she could.

When she opened her eyes, the cave was gone. She looked down. The stone was gone, and she was a small, furry creature. She turned around to look at Salamander. She was also the same creature as Pebble. She was fluffy, brown, and had a plumy tail. She raised her head. Her head was that, of a cat.
