Sunflower Fields

Yao looked at the letter wonderingly. It was lucky red and had his name neatly printed in gold lettering on the envelope. 'I wonder who this is from. It's very beautiful.' It was addressed to him, so he decided to open it.

Dear Yao~Yao, (He immediately knew who sent it.)

I hope to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day. If you would like to meet me, come to the sunflowers. I will be there.

~Ivan~

Yao's heart fluttered. His boyfriend was so quiet and shy that he didn't think he'd ever do anything like this. Yao smiled to himself, "Okay Ivan."

(Timeskip!)

Yao tramped into the sunflower field. The sun was out and bright. There he was. The Russian was standing out in the field not far from him. Yao walked his direction and looked up again. He was gone! Yao was about to turn around when two arms snaked themselves around his waist.

"Privet Yao~Yao!" they both smiled brightly and sat down where they were.

"Where on earth did you come from and why did you call me here?" The Chinese man questioned as Ivan pulled out Yao's hair tie and ran his fingers through long, dark hair.

"I saw you and I hid. You walked right by me, actually. And why? Well in America they have a holiday called Valentine's Day. It's for expressing love and getting together with the ones you love." Yao then leaned in and kissed the speaker on the cheek.

"I know what it is; I just didn't think Russia celebrated it." Yao blushed a bit, "I also didn't think you'd actually spend it with me." The happy Russian leaned in and kissed Yao on the lips. The Chinese man was first surprised, and then delighted.

They laid back in the field of flowers watching the clouds float by. "So our first kiss was in a sunflower field on Valentine's Day?" Yao snuggled into Ivan's chest.

"Da, I love you Yao~Yao."
