There's nothing in jail. Nothing but time. Will Graham knows this all too well.

He should have seen it coming. The real criminal behind all of those crimes was so painstakingly obvious it made the whole situation almost comical. Sure he had traced all of the murders back to their source, but by the time he did, he was too late. He was so late, in fact, that by the time he had everything figured out, he was already being blamed for those horrific crimes. Now he was behind bars and there was only one person to blame.

Not Jack Crawford. He was merely doing his duty when he arrested him. It was nothing personal. Will Graham didn't even blame himself anymore for his current predicament. He was positive that there was only one person, if he was even still a person, that was truly and utterly responsible for framing Will, forcing him to spend who knows how long in solitary confinement.

Hannibal. Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

The sick thing about it all is that this man use to be his closest friend. He was the only one Will thought could actually understand him, the only one whom he could actually trust. It was sad to think that a name that once brought a smile to his face, now sends shivers down his spine.

During his days in jail he has nothing. Nothing but time.

This new alone time allows his mind to wander restlessly from thought to thought. Sometimes he thinks about Alana and how he longs to get back to her. The few kisses they shared were not enough.

Other times he thinks about his dogs and how he misses them. This train of thought only leads him to back to Alana, since she had thankfully agreed to take care of his dogs.

However, what he thinks about the most, the thought that keeps gnawing its way to the top of his mind, forcing it to become his prerogative, is indeed, non other than Hannibal. His mind keeps thinking and rethinking about how Hannibal could have pulled something as big as this off. He thinks about how a serial killer like Hannibal who not only kills and guts his victims but also eats their organs could have slipped right under the nose of the police force. As he thinks about this, he plots out all the ways he would seek revenge and clear his name once he gets out.

If he gets out.

Will Graham knows it will take time to figure out all the variables for his final plan, but thanks to Hannibal, he has nothing but time now.
