Summary: (Set as if Madoka and Homura never existed. Completely unrelated to them.) Kyoko goes to America after she is almost killed by another magical girl, hoping to find new territory. Having no car, she hitch-hikes with the just the right - or wrong? - werewolf.

J POV:

I gripped the steering wheel harder as Seth rambled about anything and everything he could think of. He did this often, but it was bothering me now. Why he'd decided to ride home from the wedding with me instead of Sam I had no clue. Finally he said something interesting.

"Jake, watch out!" There was a girl in the middle of the fucking road! She was obviously crossing, but she didn't have time to get across, so I swerved, missing her by inches.

"What the hell!?' I asked the girl, who had now fallen on her butt. I studied her as I waited for her answer. She was pretty, around my age and had red hair. And I mean RED. This didn't surprise me for some reason. She looked up, obviously angry. That's when it happened. I looked into her eyes and it was over. She was speaking, but I couldn't make out the words, as I fell to my knees. Holy shit, had I just imprinted? Her voice was beautiful, SHE was beautiful. Finally I tuned into what she was saying.

"-You - almost hit me and have the r-right to cuss me?!" Her English was broken, as if it wasn't her first language. After I realized I HAD cussed her, I tried stuttering an apology and luckily Seth came to my rescue.

"What he means is, what were you doing here? There's nothing around for miles..."

"I was hitchhiking genius, what do you think I wa - Shit!" She'd dropped her gum in the process of speaking. She looked crushed and it took all I had not to envelope her in my arms.

"Hitchhiking? Where to? We're on our way to La Push... Wanna ride?" "Way to go Seth!" I cheered in my mind. She shrugged as I finally got my voice back,( and got up off the road.)

"I'm Jacob Black, and you are?"

"Kyoko Sakura, nice to meetcha." She was already at the car when she'd finished speaking. I was a bit disappointed I hadn't opened the door for her but, I rolled with it.

"I'm Seth Clearwater. That Rabbit only fits two... Jake, you mind me walking?" Seth obviously knew what was happening, with the look he gave me. I agreed and Kyoko had no complaints, so off we went.

"So... You aren't from around here are you?" I asked as she fiddled with the radio.

"Nope." She answered around a new piece of gum. "I'm from Japan. Just got here a few days ago." It struck me that the closest airport was over an hour away by car. Had she hitchhiked the whole way? The thought made me sick. of course if she hadn't I wouldn't have meet her...

"So where the heck are we going again? And do they have any abandoned buildings?" She spoke this time, and her voice thrilled me. I started to answer, but then I realized what her second question meant.

"You're homeless? " The idea sickened me. She nodded, still trying to find a good station. I didn't speak while I worked this out in my head. We did have a spare room from Rebecca and Rachel... The only problem was breaking it to Billy... Knowing he'd be hesitant, but would understand when I explained everything. "It's decided then." I informed her as we pulled in my driveway. "You'll stay with us."
