Slowly, Cesia walked down the dark shadowed hall in the midst of the night. As the grandfather clock struck midnight she felt the beat of the clock shatter her soul. One stroke, two, three... in a disturbingly endless silence, but with each foot she walked, her heart quickened. The silky black nightgown she wore became slightly disturbed from its gentle rest against her body with each step that she took. The dark moonlight night framed her pale face against the darkness. Shadows, clung to her body as she stepped down the plush hallway, a hallway that was always so beautiful in the day, but now, in the dark, it was merely a dark never ending castle. An inanimate object in the way of her final destination, for something was always in the way, no matter where she stood. It wasn't fair, no matter how hard she tried to keep something valuable in her life it always got ripped away... no matter what. Tears wetly dripped down her soft face, slowly falling to kiss her full lips. Wiping away the tears as she reached the door Cesia calmly walked in and saw what she really wanted....Rath. His calm, tall figure illuminated in the white bed and soft shirt. Bending down at his bed Cesia quietly massaged Rath and spoke softly of how she would always be there for him, all he needed to do was call for her... even in his dreams. She smiled tiredly and whispered in his ear... I love you; I thank you eternally for accepting me... Kissing his forehead she silently left the room. Once again she strode down the hall, but this time faster and away from where she had originally come from. Ascending cold stony steps she climbed out into the wind, onto the highest of towers in the castle. Tears freely flew down her face, and she ran, she ran away from what she loved and what truly loved her. She ran with Nadil.
