Nuclear Rant

Disclaimer: I do not, nor have I ever owned Stargate or any of its respective franchises. So there.

Summary: As Dr. McKay is an exceptionally long winded character, he refuses to reform to the traditional form of drabble, or fiction in a hundred words. Rather, he insists that Atlantis and its power problems, and those problems effect on him, deserve 200 words.

Nuclear Rant

Eventually, all the power in Atlantis is going to run out. As it is, we are already running on less than...hmm...let me call it favorable conditions. That's right, the lights are failing, the air conditioner isn't running correctly, and the water flow in the commode...not so good. Everybody else seems just so pleased to be running around in this 'technologically advanced' abode. No one else seems to comprehend just how much trouble we're going to be in when all the lights do go out. When the last of the energy is expended (and humans are tremendously good at expending energy), we may very well plop right back into this awful sea. And where will we be when we are completely submerged in this cold, cold sea? I asked you a question. Answer me! I'll tell you then: We will be very cold when we fall back into the sea from whence we sprung! I don't care how funny Major Sheppard thinks our lack of power is. We will all DIE! DIE I SAY!...Where was I? Oh, yes. Eventually, all the power in Atlantis is going to run out. And when it does, there will be no food left for me.
