Hypothetically, if Kirito had called Andrew Gilbert Mills about who had taken Asuna it would've been over much quicker.
If Andrew had known who was behind it he would've made a few phone calls to some people. Skilled people. They would have found everything on Sugou Nobuyuki, who he was to where he lived to what his nickname was in high school. Everything.
If Andrew had known, he would've went to a storage locker underneath the shed of his house to get some things.
If Andrew had known, Sugou Nobuyuki would've gotten a phone call from an encrypted source politely asking him to release Asuna Yuuki.
If Andrew had known, he would've meticulously studied the floor plan and every photo of Nobuyuki's house that existed. He would've noticed that the cameras in his house were wired, having no internal battery. Neither did the alarm system. An amateur mistake.
If Andrew had known, someone might have found it quite easy to break into Sogou Nobuyuki's mansion. The transfer relay that connected Nobuyuki's house with the main grid would've been disabled. Power would go off for while Nobuyuki slept, without him any the wiser. A crude and inelegant method, but workable and, more importantly, fast. The lock would've been picked and the alarm system wouldn't make a sound without any power. All in the space of two minutes.
If Andrew had known, Sugou would've woken up to a silenced gun placed against his forehead, and would've politely been asked to hand over his system ID and GM password. And if he refused he would have been... persuaded.
Politely, of course.
Hypothetically, if Andrew had known, Asuna would've found herself subject to a remote logout from an anonymous source, freeing her from her cage.
If Andrew had known, once he was no longer needed, Sugou Nobuyuki would just... vanish. No trace, no body, just gone. As if he had never existed at all. The only one who would know what happened to him would have been a mangy black cat that the neighbors affectionately nicknamed Shiro.
But he wouldn't tell anyone.
And if Andrew had known, he would've smiled and laughed and congratulated Asuna on her freedom. He would've pondered along with them on her mysterious savior. And if whenever Sugou Nobuyuki was mentioned his eyes grew a little bit colder, well, no one would notice.
But this is all if Agil had known.
Just a different take on what could've been that wouldn't leave my mind.
Boom, Squish, Yay,
Chicago.
