Ch. 1 The Great and Powerful Turnover

A/N: Hey people, this is my first MLP fanfic. I've always wanted to write something for MLP and now's my chance. I hope you like this story.

Light flickered bright colors, excited fillies galloping about, it was the day of Lunar Landing, the anniversary of when the Elements of Harmony saved Princess Luna from Nightmare Moon's evil wrath. A light blue mare arrived on the scene at Canterlot. Setting up in front of the festival lines she opened up her new bar, though it was previously a stage. "I should put this thing away if I want to change my life around." The mare said while pulling off her pointed 'magic' hat. "I can change! For I am...Trixie, the plain old unicorn." She sighed. She was infamous now, thanks to Twilight and her friends. Damn I got to make some new way to make money quick. After this festival I have to find a real job.

"Come one, come all! For fillies to stallions, with milk to dandelion shots!" hollered Trixie. Some fillies tried to grab a glass, but their parents made them think better. "Welp, business is slow. Not that I made any money with that stupid magic act..." "I'll take a tall foaming cider, please." Trixie turned to see what she guess was a stallion. She had to guess since half his face was covered with a hood. She could make out his orange, tangerine coat of fur, his black mane, and shine of his glasses. "Sure thing, sir. It'll be right up!" He's not like most people at this celebration...hooded and his magic is wack... and something about him is just so...What?! Cider had spilled from the tall cup and onto her hoovess. "Oh jeez, did any get on-" The tangerine unicorn had foam on his hood and all the way down his tail. "Well, the cat's out of the bag, or the unicorn's out of the hood." said the stallion, pulling his hood down.

He has emerald eyes and a shiny black mane, thought Trixie as the unicorn chugged his cider and left 20 bits on the counter. She snapped awake in time to see him gallop off. "Wait!" she screamed. "I didn't get your name!" But it was too late. The orange unicorn was lost in the crowd. "Arrgh! Stallions! And...and you owe me 1 more bit!" Pretty sure the old stage won't miss me for a while. Trixie galloped into the crowd, with her old cape and hat. "Today's going to be one heck of a fiesta."
