The first thing that flashed through 14 year old Blaine Anderson's head when he stepped into The Wishful Thinking teahouse with his brother was 'this is a place for couples.' It was a small place, with about 7 round, glass-topped tables total. Each table had two chairs and a jar of assorted flowers.

Cooper sat right down at a table directly in the center of the shop and ordered a large mint tea with milk and sugar. Blaine wrinkled his nose and shook his head when the redheaded waitress asked him what he wanted. Cooper looked at the waitress apologetically. "He just came out to our parents." He explained to the waitress. He opened his mouth to say more, but Blaine kicked him hard under the table. Sometimes Cooper just didn't know when to shut his mouth.

"You don't have to tell the whole world, Cooper." he hissed.

Cooper blushed faintly and the waitress laughed kindly. "Let me know if you need anything else." She left.

"Look Blaine, I know you don't want to talk right now, but this is my favorite place to go here. It's the only teahouse in Ohio, you know. And one of the only in the country. They're mostly in Europe..." Cooper trailed off as the redheaded waitress wandered over to the table again, this time carrying a large red mug. She set it down in front of Cooper with another smile.

Cooper turned his attention to his little brother, who was now fingering the fraying edge of his sweater. "Blaine, I-"

He stopped short when his brother gave him a murderous look. They didn't speak until they got outside. Standing in front of Cooper's car, Blaine faced his brother. "Why did you bring me there?" He asked fiercely. "It's horrible."

"What?" Cooper just looked confused. "it's nice here, Blaine. I thought you'd like it."

Blaine snorted.

16 year old Blaine Anderson stood in front of The Wishful Thinking teahouse and smiled. He wound his fingers around the fingers of the boy standing next to him. "I went here once with my brother. Just after I came out." He murmured to the boy. "Coop though I'd like it. But, I mean, he's Cooper. You can't get more clueless than that."

The boy laughed his high, musical laugh. "Why are you taking me somewhere you hate, then?"

"I Hated it then." Blaine explained. "It was too 'coupley' for me. Seemed like a bad joke."

"So you like it now?"

"I don't actually know. Haven't been back here since."

The boy laughed again, and the two of them entered the teahouse. Blaine dragged the boy directly to the table in the center of the shop. There were red and yellow roses in a jam jar on the table. A redheaded waitress came up to take their orders. Blaine's eyes grew wide when he saw her. She looked almost the same as she had two years ago. She came back with a large mint tea with milk and sugar for Blaine and a medium camomile for his date. "Thank you." Blaine said, looking her right in the eye. Her name tag read 'Emma'. She looked a bit confused for a few seconds, but snapped out of it.

"You're most certainly welcome."

The two boys sipped their tea in silence, just glad to be near each other. Finally, the taller one spoke. "You said this is the first time you've been here since that time with your brother?"

Blaine nodded.

"Why? You've dated other people, right?"

"Yeah. But this place seemed to special. Maybe I was just waiting for the right person to take."

"Oh. Wait, you mean me?"

Blaine smiled and nodded.

"You will be the death of me, Blaine Anderson." the boy said with an affectionate smile.

Blaine laughed quietly. He looked around. The teahouse was empty save for them and Emma, the redheaded waitress, who was watching the two boys as she swept.

"I love you, Kurt Hummel." the words tumbled out before he could stop them.

Kurt just smiled.
