As her heart pounded, she could feel the blood rushing through her veins. A wave of nausea passed over her as sweat began to pour from her brow. He was closing in, she could feel it within the deepest depths of her soul. Not knowing whether she would survive the night, she continued on through the dark forest, her breathing heavy, searching for the last page.
Approaching an eerie building, she slowed to catch her breath. It's gotta be here somewhere, she thought, Where is it? Knowing that she would have to enter the building eventually, the girl took a deep breath. She knew that if the last page was in there, she'd survive this wretched night. She wasn't sure exactly why collecting these eight pages would allow her to survive, but she knew they would and she wanted to, had to, find them. She also knew that if the last page was not to be found inside the dilapidated building-which appeared to have once been a restroom-her demise would be awaiting her inside. I don't want to die, she thought with an ache in her heart.
The girl once again took a deep breath-knowing that it could very well be her last. A twig snapped behind her. Not daring to turn around, she darted into the building and around the first corner. Tears began to stream down her face as she cried the silent cry of those who have given up all hope, for she knew who had snapped the twig, and who was waiting impatiently for her to run from behind the corner and to the opposite side of the small room she found herself in.
She looked across the room and on the wall hung the last page. If she were to run now, she would either live or die. Spots began to swim before her eyes as she came to the realization of her situation. Blinking quickly and shaking her head lightly, she snapped back to reality. Not wanting to wait a second longer, knowing that if she did she would surely wind up dead, she sprinted across the room. As she was grabbing the last page, a hand grabbed her from behind. The girl let out a bloodcurdling shriek as her attacker spun her about, causing her to lose the page.
Tentacle-like arms emerged from her attacker's back, and grabbed ahold of her whilst she continued to scream and fight back with all of her might. But even the strongest man was no match to the Slenderman, and the girl was killed, and swallowed into the murky darkness of the Slenderman's soul, never to see the light of day again.
