I'm not dead just slowed due to school. So here's a one shot on Gangrel before the events of awakening.

Gangrel waltzed into the castle to nothing but panic. The highest ranking officer in the castle ran up to him and began to treat him like a little girl does her doll.

"Sire! Where were you? The king has run off to Carrion Isle, he thought you were there! He's taken 400 soldiers with him,"

"Carrion Isle! I was just at the small outpost there west of Shiron village! I had to leave due to Ylisse bringing their largest battalion yet! They brought 10,000 soldiers! If he shows up there looking for me it will be a massacre!" Gangrel revealed. Quickly Gangrel ran out and hitched his horse only to be joined by the officer as well as a group of subordinates. They rode off to Carrion Isle as soon as possible. They finally reached the path finding the less than 100 Plegians still fighting despite their numbers still rapidly plummeting.

The 8 rushed in on horseback though the officer's subordinates who had followed were shot down next to him again. Gangrel fell to the ground quickly as his horse whined in pain. Dizzy he slowly raised up and slashed his levin sword into a group of 5 Ylisse soldiers before a paladin rushed in hitting him with a silver lance knocking him to the ground and out cold.

..

The scent of smoke wafted into Gangrel's nose as his eyes flickered open. Slowly he stepped up and stumbled around the burned isle for a moment before climbing up the ridge. He then rushed over to a javelin carrying the plegian banner. The mangled corpse of the worried lieutenant shocked Gangrel to the core. A burning warm pain pierced his side as an archer attempted to kill him though Gangrel unsheathed his sword and stabbed him killing him instantly Gangrel ran off towards the fortress still cloaked in smoke. He constantly was moving his head to avoid the atrocities that the savage Ylissean warriors forced unto innocent citizens. He ran for what seemed like miles with his wounds before finding a man face down bleeding and moaning with a cloak the only thing to reveal his identity.

"Why?" Gangrel questioned."Why did you come to find me father?" He screamed demanding an answer he knew could never come. He looked around the graveyard seeing 399 bodies none close to his father. It is as every man dies. Alone.

Sorry this took so long. Happy Thanksgiving to any American readers. And Happy nearest holiday to the rest of you.
