"Adam..."
"Ros...Tranquility's that way."
The scene played over and over in Ros' head. It had become a part of her mind, playing on a constant loop every waking hour. At night it was a different story, she relived every second she had spent with him. She remembered every detail, the contours of his body, the sweet taste of his mouth. That's what kept her strong. Kept her fighting.
Over the past month she had had time to think, time to find herself again. She was certain of one thing, she had loved Adam. He knew her, understood her better than perhaps she knew or understood herself. He had left her forever, lost to her. She wished that they had had more time, just one more day. Adam had helped her to discover the person beneath the ice; he was the missing part of the jigsaw. They had completed each other.
