Disclaimer: Well, guess what? For once I can proudly say I do own everything in this fic. If you
think I stole Kai from beyblades, you're wrong. Read my profile and you'll see that he is actually
my own character 'Kai', which is short for 'Katsyuzne'!

This story is something that I came up with when I was helping my sister with her science
project, she is conducting the experiment that: 'most teenagers write depressing stories' and I
was one of many who agreed to help her out. And so far it seems like they do write depressing
stories only, lol. Enjoy!

Crimson Waters

The tree swayed in the breeze as Kai ran passed it, he quickly darted around a mailbox and began
to run across the road without looking. It was raining heavily and Kai wanted to be home and
warm as soon as possible, the gales of wind blew about making it harder to even walk on the
slippery wet surface. What if there was traffic coming? He had better check just in case. By the
time Kai looked up it was too late. With the blaring of a car horn and the screech of the brakes
the car hit Kai. He was thrown backwards, his body landing with a horrible wet thud.

The car didn't even stop to check if Kai was ok, they sped off disappearing into the rain. Kai lay
unconscious on the pavement, blood pouring rapidly from a deep gash on his forehead. When
Kai awoke he had a horrible pounding headache, he had no strength and he couldn't move. He
began to panic, why couldn't he move?!

Using every ounce of strength he had, Kai forced himself to sit up for a minute, but then fell back
down with a small crack. Kai's eyelids fluttered as he dropped in and out of consciousness, the
rain pounded down on his sodden flesh so hard that it was almost threatening to tear open.

Kai lay in the gutter, completely defenseless as he was drained of his life. It didn't take long
before Kai became light headed, he no longer had the strength to even keep his eyes open. He lay
there waiting for death to take him, but it didn't. He was on the verge of passing out, but he never
seemed to go all the way out of consciousness.

Finally the moment came where he couldn't breathe. He found himself drowning in endless
rivers, but as he choked on the water he realized there was something different about it.

It wasn't water.

As the water drowned his lungs he was able to see the harsh reality. Why didn't he recognize it
before? Why had he failed to see...

The liquid he was drowning in was not water...

It was blood
