Okay! This is my very first Harry Potter fic. I actually came up with it today while I was watching the second movie, I had a thought. It was the part where they are being taught how to dual, and Harry meets that guy. When Harry goes to say his name, and is interrupted by the boy who says "I know who you are", I had a thought; doesn't that annoy Harry? So I quickly wrote this.
Word Count: 260
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any of its characters, nor do I make any money off of this.
Name
'What's your name?'
Those were words that Harry Potter wished to hear, though would never admit. It wasn't that he wanted to meet a lot of people, per se; it was just that everyone knew his name, and always stopped him from saying 'My name is Harry Potter' by inserting 'I know who you are'.
It got quite annoying, but he didn't let it show, didn't let people know he thought that. But he had his doubts that his life would ever include those three words; everyone in the wizard community knew who he was, and people in the muggle world could really care less. But it didn't matter that they didn't care, as he was not even going to be in the muggle world too often, and when he was it would be to see people who knew who he was.
But that was not the reason he was there today, to visit someone. He had felt like going out of Sirisus's old place- he still couldn't think of it as his, despite having had it for four years now- to get some fresh air.
And he had run into Neville, who was with a muggle.
"So, what's your name?" She had asked, and suddenly his day was fantastic.
"I'm Harry Potter." Harry responded, elated to have to say that. He saw Neville smile, somehow realizing what he was thinking, but not saying it as to not embarrass him.
Saying those three words never seems too important, but when you never can say them, they are three golden words.
Hope you liked that! Please review. :D
