Roxanne blearily sat up and looked around the attic of the Burrow. It was Saturday morning and she and her cousins had slept over the night before just to watch the Saturday morning cartoons together. Her grandparents had gotten a television years before and she and her cousins had made this a sort of tradition.

She looked to her left were her cousin Lily had fallen asleep with a spoonful of peanut butter stuck to her face, except Lily wasn't there. As Roxanne looked around the room, she realized no one was there. Her cousins had broken the cardinal rule of Saturday morning: they had let her sleep in.

Jumping up, Roxanne bolted down the stairs. She found her cousins and little brother clustered together on the couch and laying in the floor. They were laughing at the end of Tom and Jerry when she came rocketing into the room.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" She asked, a little out of breath.

Rose cringed but attempted to explain, "Well, you went to sleep awful late last night,-"

"And we all know you only watch for Batman." Lucy helpfully cut in.

"Right," said Rose. "Which is why I was about to wake you up."

"Sure, well, you two move over." She said gesturing to Rose and James who were sitting beside each other on the couch.

They scooted apart and Roxanne plopped down. Not bothering to ask, Roxanne put here head in Rose's lap and her feet in James'. She grabbed and old pink blanket off the back of the couch and settled in.

"Why, yes Roxie, you can put your filthy, disgusting feet in my lap." Said James sarcastically.

"Oh, I will." she said. "Now, shut up, Batman is starting."

Roxanne pulled her blanket up a little more and contently watched cartoons until the morning news came on and Grandma Weasley called all the kids into the kitchen for chocolate chip pancakes, another tradition.

Just before digging in, Roxanne made a little announcement to everyone,

"If you guys ever let me sleep in on a Saturday morning again, I will make sure that once we get back to Hogwarts every one of you ends up with long lasting pink hair. "

The whole family laughed but one day they would look back and realize just how important these silly little traditions had been to them.
