Just a simple poem I wrote about Love Never Dies. I know there are some people that hate this musical because it causes Erik even more pain than he has to endure. I know, I used to hate it too. But after I saw it a couple more times I still thought it was a beautiful. Kind of depressing but beautiful. So here it is.

Roses are red and the sky is blue there will never be a day when I wont think of you.
The singing and the musical nights we shared,
the feel of my hand in your golden brown hair.

Now that your gone my life is so dreary.
I roam the earth so dead and weary.
Every night I pray that you are safe,
within heavens golden gates.

Every day I visit your grave and say things that I've wanted to say,
and then I cry because you've gone away,
taken by a bullet that went astray.

I always bring you a rose to remind you of me,
I know your up there so beautiful and free.
I wish i could see you in all of your glory,
a true angel of music, the love of my life in my life's story.

Me and Gustave, we miss you so much,
your love, your presence, your soft touch.
Why did your life have to end so soon? Under that eerie, midnight, moon.

I'll never forgive Meg for ending your life,
with the pull of that trigger she forever ruined mine.
I will always miss you and I will never love another,
you were the love of my life and my child's mother.

Erik wiped the tears from his eyes as he placed the poem on Christines grave. "I will always love you my dear. If I don't go to hell for all of my sins, we shall meet again someday."
He placed a red rose with a black ribbon tied to its stem on the base of Christine's grave. Then he turned and walked away, leaving his lost love to rest in peace.
