Jalapeno Dreams

The door to Heero's room opened slowly. The sliver of light from the hall slid nearly mystically across the room. The light stopped right on Heero's face. Heero stirred at the sudden light. Duo paused—holding his breath for what felt like an eternity. Heero went back to sleeping soundly, Duo let out a silent sigh. He nearly closed the door, leaving it open but not open enough for light to spill through. He crept across the room to Heero's bedside table. That's where he would find what he needed, that's where he would find some extra bullets.
He should have listened to Heero when he told him to buy some more the other day. But NO he had to do things his own way and now he was low on ammunition with a mission on the horizon. He couldn't stand Heero's look that spelt 'I told you so'. Besides Heero had enough bullets to supply a small army. Wait… weren't they a small army?
Duo mused to himself as he slowly opened the top drawer. Heero's eyes moved underneath their lids, freezing Duo again. False alarm number two. He dug though the drawer and finally found the bullets that were the right caliber. He steadily brought the box out of the drawer. The bullets shifted suddenly.
Heero turned over in his sleep, "Fuck me harder Relena." He mumbled in his sleep.
Duo's eyes shot open. He flew up in bed and tried to catch his breath. "What's wrong?" Came the question in a deep voice. Heero sat up in bed, his bare chest gleaming in the silver light.
"Nuthin' I just had a bad dream, that's all."
Heero laid back again and tried to get back to sleep. Duo laid his head on Heero's chest and nestled close to his warm form.
Duo awoke suddenly. He sat up in bed quicker than he should and hit his head against the bunk above him. He laid back down just as quickly as he had sat up. He held his throbbing head. Biting his cheek, he cursed silently.
Quatre, who had the bunk above him, was awoken by the loud thump. He peered over the side at Duo grasping his head in agony, "What's wrong Duo?" He asked groggily.
"Damn bad dreams!" Duo said between his teeth.
Quatre sighed annoyed, "I told you that you shouldn't have eaten that jalapeno and bologna sandwich right before bed."
"Yeah, yeah." Duo mumbled as he turned over on his side… drifting into another deep slumber filled with equally disturbing dreams.
