Preface

Synopsis:

When Evelin Foster wakes up one rainy morning to a vampire smashing her tiny condo to pieces, the last thing she wants to see is another vampire. Or a werewolf, for that matter. So when both swoop in to "save" her, she's hard-pressed not to kill them.

And when she's forced to start a body count or die in her haste to survive, her next mission becomes clear: find the Cullens and figure out exactly why the fuck everyone thinks she's one of them.

Hello, there! So welcome to DogsandDames' first fanfiction! Let me explain a few things about this fanfic because where it stands on the genre totem pole might be confusing.

1.) It is most definitely a continuation of Twilight.

Now for how it may differ slightly from others of its kind. I love fiction, but I operate on a much bigger scale than vampires and werewolves. So essentially:

2.) I'm bringing all the other supernatural baddies into Twilight.

For those of you wondering how long after Breaking Dawn Part 2 this is taking place: Not very long. Perhaps a year, just because it's easier. This way, I don't have to age any of the characters too drastically, and I can work from a solid foundation.

3.) Everyone in Twilight is the same, but I'm bringing in a few my own characters, and of course, a new plot.

Everyone understand? Good, good u3u Let us move on to the Preface. Enjoy!

The trees waltzed in the wind, and the grass performed an elaborate bee dance underfoot. The light from the moon blinked in and out through the canopy, as if peeking from its window in the sky, and my toes dug into the soft dirt.

Tension made my muscles taut. Worry kept my mind sharp. And rage flared behind my breastbone like a murder of crows taking flight after being startled.

The night breeze was a caress on my sweaty skin, and a shiver rode up my spine.

Across from me, he stood with his feet apart. His arms hung limply at his sides. His muscles were relaxed. Like a cobra waiting to strike.

When he ghosted over the grass, my eyes followed him, but the rest of me remained motionless. Silently, his eyes trailed hungrily over my body. His voice was beside my ear.

"So perfect," he whispered. "So impeccable." My breath sawed from my throat on surprise, but I remained still. His laugh was like nails ripping through sheet metal. "Tell me, love. What did you have to do to gain such perfection?"
