"Seimei!"

The seventeen-year-old looked away from the Zero fighters as the familiar voice yelled his name. He couldn't detect the confused feelings he knew were running through the boy's mind. The boy, looking so much, but so different from him, paused for a brief moment. The violet eyes gave away all the turmoil he was feeling about seeing his brother since his faked death.

He wasn't surprised when his little brother ran to him; he knew that was going to happen. Smiling, he wrapped his arms around Ritsuka's thin back and held him close. Nothing had changed in the months he was away. Ritsuka still fit perfectly against him, his dark heard lying against his chest.

Suddenly, someone new was in the room, a familiar and unwanted presence. "You two have been getting along." Ritsuka didn't move from his brother's embrace. He barely registered his words. Both sacrifices knew that Soubi was in the room, but it didn't matter. Seimei didn't care that Soubi was feeling abandoned and betrayed. He was insignificant. The bird didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was Ritsuka wrapped in his arms.
