"WOOHOO!"
He was running through the green hills just outside the village. He liked running, it was his favourite thing to do, when he got a chance to that is. He already knew he was the fastest in the village but he still felt the need to break his own records, go faster than he was already going.
I wonder if there's anyone faster than me elsewhere in the world, he thought to himself as he began to speed up while approaching a naturally forming shuttle loop.
You see, South Island isn't very big at all, let alone Knot Hole Village, a very small part of the island. There aren't even any other villages on the island. Very few villagers ever venture away from the village, except maybe to find resources or learn more about the islands history.
That brings me to Sonic. Blue, red trainers, an arrogant smirk on his face, that's him. Sonic lived in Knot Hole his entire life. He hated it. He wanted thrills and adventure, not boring village life. His parents didn't even let him leave the village, he had to get his Uncle Chuck to help him sneak out.
Ah, Uncle Chuck, now we're getting somewhere. Now, Sonic didn't hate his parents. How could he? They never made many parenting mistakes and only ever wanted his safety, but to say sonic wasn't fond of them would be an understatement. They were always so, for lack of a better phrase, uptight which Sonic didn't really appreciate. The only family member sonic really liked was his uncle chuck, you might even go as far as to say the two were friends. Not that Sonic had no other friends.
Antione and Sally were Sonic's two best, and only friends, assuming you don't count Uncle Chuck. The three were always together, causing mischief around Knot Hole, usually instigated by Sally. Needless to say, in a village as small as Knot Hole they gained a bit of reputation for trouble making. People would often make the mistake of assuming Sonic and Sally were a couple, which they would both have to repeatedly deny. Ironically, Antione and Sally had started dating not too long ago.
Sonic exited the shuttle loop on the other side. He loved running, the peacefulness, the cool air flowing though his spikes. Sadly, his thoughts were interrupted by the sudden arrival of a… robot?
