Memory (Naminé/Xion)
Naminé's hand moved frantically over the paper. She was in a hurry and she had to constantly remind herself what she was drawing and why it felt so important. Her wrist ached and her fingers almost cramped up around the black crayon she'd been using the most, and yet she couldn't stop.
Once she was finally finished she looked down at what she had created. A girl looked back at her. A girl with blue eyes and black hair, wearing a black coat.
Naminé smiled and let her finger gently caress the drawn girl's face. "Xion..." she whispered softly, "Xion..."
She looked away only for a second, unsure why she did it, and when she glanced back at the paper she frowned. It was blank.
What was I going to draw...? she thought, I can't remember...
Tears (Roxas/Xion, Naminé/Roxas)
In his dreams he's running around in the forest, the one outside of Twilight Town's main plaza, the one that surrounds the haunted mansion. Only, the forest seems much bigger and darker. The trees are taller and thicker and he knows that someone is following him. He spins around and sees a hooded figure standing behind him, dressed in all black and even though he cannot see the figure's face he feels watched. He stares, frozen and unable to move as another hooded figure steps out behind the first one. Then a third one, a fourth one, a fifth... until there are 12 of them—all of different heights and builds. One of them reaches a hand out for him and he takes a stumbling step forward, reaching out to take it, when...
"Roxas!" a female voice calls out for him and the spell is broken. He turns again and sees a girl. Small, blonde, wearing a white dress and blue sandals. She smiles, but it doesn't reach her sad blue eyes.
"Who are you?" he asks.
"I promised I would watch over you," she says and reaches her hand out for him. "I promised... someone..."
Roxas walks towards her and when he takes her hand her appearance seems to change. For a moment her hair is black and she's wearing the same coat the hooded figures from before did. Her blue eyes are the same though and so's her smile and Roxas doesn't understand why he suddenly feels like crying.
"Roxas, don't be sad..." she whispers and reaches out to touch his cheek. "I will see you again soon."
When he wakes up he doesn't remember the dream and he doesn't know why his cheeks are wet.
Morning (Sora/Kairi/Riku)
It was a regular morning. At least as regular as it could be for Sora, Riku and Kairi. It was a morning when they had no obligations. They could stay in bed for as long as they wished. They could watch movies and cuddle and maybe more if the movie wasn't interesting enough to keep their attention away from each other. Riku and Sora would have leave again soon to take their Master exams, but they had assured Kairi that they would not be gone for a year this time. A couple of days, a week or two at most. They had promised they'd make it up to her when they got back.
That was all a concern for a different day though. Today they didn't have to think about leaving. Sora would normally insist on being in the middle when they were in bed or when they sat huddled together under blankets in front of the TV, but now he let Kairi occupy the middle instead—his own and Riku's arms draped around her, Sora's head resting on her shoulder and Riku's lips pressed against the top of her head.
This morning they weren't heroes, they were princes pampering their princess, knowing that for all their combined strength being without each other was suffering.
