Caspian X, King of Narnia, sighed in contentment as the Dawn Treader rose and dipped gently on the waves. The movement was soothing, and the strong wind ensured that they kept up a good speed. Caspian had already decided that he loved sailing and the sea, and thought so once again to himself as he stretched his arms over his head.

He also loved the idea of sailing beyond the Lone Islands in search of his father's seven friends. Who knew what sort of wondrous lands lay out there simply waiting to be discovered! Doubtless those lands were filled with fantastic treasures, and creatures maybe never seen before. Caspian couldn't wait to find them!

And then to find the uttermost East, as Reepicheep was meant to do! Only Aslan himself knew where that lay. Reepicheep believed they would find Aslan's own country there where the sky met the sea. Caspian stifled a yawn, wondering what Aslan's was country like. Wild and magnificent, he imagined, like the great lion himself. The only way to know for sure was to find it, a challenge Caspian was eager to take up.

Behind them, the sunset colored the sky gold and crimson. Before them, stars danced in the darkening sky. Reepicheep sat at the bow, singing to himself quietly as was his wont. The smell of supper wafted over the deck. Everything was peaceful and quiet, and Caspian settled down to listen to the waves and doze. Adventure awaited them beyond the horizon, but for the moment he was content to sit, and watch, and listen.
