A/N: So I was re-watching Frozen a couple days ago and I realized that nobody really knows what happened to Kristoff's parents, right? So I thought that maybe something like this happened.
"Mommy?" Christopher whimpered as he was pulled out of his cozy blankets and held in his mother's arms.
"Shh," she whispered to him, rocking him gently.
Outside, yells and the twang of bowstrings filled the air.
"Mommy, what's h-happening?" Christopher was terrified. What were those scary sounds? And where was Papa?
Suddenly he realized that his mother was crying, which scared him even more.
There was a pounding at the door.
"Open up!" came a gruff shout, "Or I'll open it for you!"
At this, Christopher began to wail.
"Shh, shh," his mother whispered. She began walking quickly to a window that faced the forest, a window that she and Christopher used to sit and play together near.
She pried open the window and jumped through it, and began running towards the snowy forest.
"Hey! You there!" someone called behind them. The sound of pounding feet grew closer and closer.
Christopher's mother began muttering under her breath, something that sounded like a prayer for help.
She ran faster.
Soon, they came to an icy river, where Christopher's mother lay a blanket down on the surrounding snow, wrapped Christopher in it, and stuck him under a prickly bush to conceal him.
"Mommy?"
"I love you, baby. Trust me"
Christopher's mother ran in the opposite direction, towards the soldiers.
Yells could be heard. There was one high pitched scream that filled the air. Then, silence.
Christopher cried and cried. He was shivering, and really hungry.
Soon, he could hear pounding feet and low chanting, coming from the river. Hoping for rescue, Christopher wailed as loud as he could.
The pounding feet stopped. Soon there was the sound of running footsteps, and Christopher was surrounded by big, burly men wrapped in furs.
One of them knelt down and said, "Hey buddy, what's your name?"
Christopher tried to say his name, "C-c-cristoph-er-er" But all the men heard was, "Kristoff".
"Well, hello, Kristoff. Where are your parents?" One man asked. At this Kristoff began to wail again.
"He must be from the village a couple miles north that was ravaged by those rogue travelers"
"Well, bud, looks like you're staying with us" another man said.
And they wrapped Kristoff in warm furs and carried him with them. Kristoff never remembered anything about his former life until-
"Christopher!" Anna shouted.
For a moment, Kristoff was struck with serious deja vu. Then he shook it off.
"It's Kristoff!"
A/N: Hope you all liked it. I tried to make it sad (you know parents dead, etc, etc) but I hope not too sad, or maybe not sad enough...? Review what you thought, please! Oh yeah, and the last scene is with the wolves, where Kristoff falls off the sleigh and is barely holding on to the rope, and Anna shouts, "Christopher!" Yeah, that scene. In case anyone was confused. Review! Bye!
