I don't own Pokemon. No really, I'm not kidding. That's Nintendo's idea.

Once, not long soon after the birds of fire, storms, and ice began to take control the weather, melting away the eternal ice, when I only had gotten around to making... 145 species or so, It's hard to keep track of all of them... There was a Chansey. Of course, with this Chansey, I think I did something wrong with her. Namely she spent all her time wishing she was like the humans...

I was swimming in the warm water, near where Moltres was growing a chain of volcanic islands. I was checking a cave on the main island, and when I got there...

There's this really tall standing boulder, that the setting sun seems to glow against just so beautifully. But only once every month during the full moon. Well, I was sitting on the boulder, waiting for the sun to set, when of all things, a Chansey walked out of the mouth of the cave, depressed... Of course she was depressed, ever try hiding something from psychics? My son Mewtwo tried lying once or twice, but we really can't hide too well from each other, so a Chansey of all creatures didn't even have a chance.

I hovered around the Chansey, mostly to freak her out, but I was examining her, before I transformed her. The human I made her into was based on her genetic make up, so she came out a bit pale for the region, a red head actually, I also deeply ingrained an instinct to heal other pokemon of all types, something of a type of love. She could actually teach the human's a thing or two, they already had a tendency to hurt themselves and anything near them. I never really cared for them much myself. So, like they mysterious goddess I'm suppose to be, I flew off quickly, going to take a quick nap on the ocean bed for a few months.

When I DID wake up, I went back to the boulder, determined to watch the sunset I was waiting for in the first place. So what happens when I get there? Yeah, a sleeping Growlithe, right next to the boulder... it didn't take psychic powers to tell she was depressed... though it helped. So I sat on the boulder, probing her mind for a few hours... Yes, I missed the sunset, but it did turn out that this Growlithe had been meeting the Chansey at this rock every day that she could remember. Of course, a few months ago, she was being held up by her siblings, and didn't arrived untill later then normal. And since it just happened that I had changed the Chansey into a human that night, the Growlithe believed she scared the Chansey away forever, and had been waiting by the rock, day and night, waiting for her to return. Really quite depressing in a romantic way.

So I zapped her too! Well duh, I AM a goddess. I can do what ever I want. I could decide that all Clefairy on the contentant should start doing splash. On a whim. Anyhow, she came out... a bit strange. I didn't really code ANYTHING into her, but it wasn't long until I found out she was protecting the human's from themselves. I guess it was a bit of spare genetic code I left into growlithes or something. But the Growlithe-born and the Chansey-born coexist to this day. Watching over each other. I think they call them Police Enforcer Joy and Doctor Jenny or something. I never paid that much attention to humans anyway.
