A/N: Strange pairing, yes? I thought so too... Not much to say. It just happened. Enjoy!

Summary: Sonia was a witch. So why was this woman serving her? There was no evil in her heart, she was almost as innocent as Nino. All this manipulating made Lloyd hate Sonia more.

After the Reed brothers had left Bern's mountains, where the Fangs meeting was held, the older stopped his march. "Linus..."

His brother stopped as well, and answered him. "Brother? What is it?"

His eyes narrowed. "I still have unsettled business. You head to the fortress first."

"But-"

"Just go, Linus." He turned his back and walked back up the mountain path. "I won't be long."

The White Wolf had hardly blended in with the snow that surrounded him. He went back to the castle where they had the meeting. In there, he found a lone woman tending to her horse. He stood at the entrance awhile and watched. 'Why was this woman serving her? There was no evil in her heart, she was almost as innocent as Nino' he thought to himself. That woman was able to manipulate such tender creatures, it was hard to believe she was a human. 'Sonia...you witch'. "You..." He finally spoke. "Why do you serve Sonia...?"

She did not seem shocked at his question or his presence. She answered plainly, without looking at him. "That would be the same as asking why you serve your father."

Lloyd did not need time to think of a retort. He knew full well why he was in the Black Fang. He knew what the original Black Fang had strived for, he had known since he picked up a blade."I serve my father because the Black Fang fights for justice...But that woman..."

She stopped with her horse matters and looked him in the eye for the first time the entire day. "What she is doing may or may not be for justice, but orders are orders. You took her orders yourself, didn't you?"

His face was bitter, yet still calm. "Because of her orders, many were killed." She was silent. "And one day... she will kill you as well. For that man, Negral."

"That..." Ursula had once thought that possible. Negral wanted something, and he is using Sonia to obtain it, and she was doing everything he had wished.

"The Black Fang was not what it once was..." He shook his head. "That evil woman has changed our ways..." His eyes closed and he leaned on the cold wall to his side. He folded his arms across his chest. "The days of laughter in the dining hall are over. Those that once made up the Black Fang... Legault... Uhai..." There was a moment of silence. "They are gone. Because of her orders."

She did feel sympathy for him, one who had lost his comrades, she had yet to know loss. She was an orphan, without friends or family, and Sonia made her a warrior. "Lloyd..."

His eyes reopened, still against the wall, he looked out into the snowy vista. "Soon, she will run out of use for you as well. She will sacrifice you, like the others. You have a mission tonight, do you not? At Bern Manse?" He chose not to wait for an answer. "I hear they are strong, if you fail, Sonia will likely take your life." He had done his fair share of research on these Lycians. They were not to be underestimated. "Be warned."

She mounted herself and began riding out into the snow. "I don't need your warnings, White Wolf. I do not doubt Lady Sonia, I will not."

He watched her back fade into the distance. He closed his eyes again and gave another moment of silence, as if he knew he would never see her again.
