Authoress' Note & Disclaimer: It seemed I'm on a drabble streak that seems to be based mainly around unrequited love and heartbreak. Is it just me, or have the hormones been acting up lately? Anyway, this is yet another drabble of mine that is based around one-sided love and/or broken hearts. I don't own Spiral, but I have the theme song stuck in my head, so that has to account for something.

Hiyono adores Ayumu.
(Saying otherwise is like saying the Sun revolves around the moon.)
Adoration comes in many forms, of course, but it's not as if it's all that complicated.
No, it's just the fact she loves him so much that she would die for him that frustrates her so much.

She finds it...
...delectable when he just happens to pack her favorite desert in his box lunch that one day in May, the same day she just happens to pack her own.
...musical when he sets long, sanguine fingers to the ivory keys and uses them to unlock her heart.
...interesting when he tilts his head back to catch the last ray of sunlight filtering through the window as it highlights his wayward mahogany locks (the only moment she wonders if he's thinking straight, because the action is so unlike the Ayumu she loves).
...heartbreaking when he denies her the key to his soul; it is too valuable to be kept in the hands of one like her and she knows it.
...devastating when he gives it away to someone else, and that someone decides to throw it away.
...comforting when he calls her in the middle of the night just to hear the sound of something familiar after a long day of work.
...noble when he goes to such lengths to save someone like her from the prospect of harm, but only because he would do the same for anyone else.
...tyrannical when he orders her around like he knows she'll never disobey, because she doesn't have the guts.
...cute when he wrinkles his nose at her inept approach to cuisine - did she do it just to make him teach her?
...terrible when he cries for the first time and it's all because she's damned to be the only empty area on his map.
...promising when he messes up to do better next time, if only to impress her.
...pleasing when he asks her to do something instead of ordering her around like he's used to, like he actually respects what she has to say.
...despicable when he gets drunk so easily and she's the one who has to clean up the mess.
...lovable when he informs her that he's allergic to bees - right after he ducks behind her at the sight of one such insect.
...But most of all, she finds it sinful when he smiles and it's not her that's making him smile.
