"Ochite Sourou"
"Tomoe..."
brushing her bangs from her hot face, Nanami peered over to her familliar, the fox yokai, whom was casually laying down on the outside deck of the shrine, observing his handsomely chiseled face and piercing golden eyes.
"Nanami."
She felt her heart skip a beat as her name rolled off the tip of his tongue, his voice like crushed velvet.
Stretching her legs, she looked onwards towards the sky and began to speak-
" It's a beautiful day Tomoe. We should do something fun... maybe... a date?"
Tomoe opened his eyes and gave her a distasteful look.
"Why would I want to? I'd rather lay here than do something as stupid as that."
She scoffed.
"You don't have to be so rude about it. It was only an idea, you idiot.",
Nanami laid down upon the deck, once again separating her hair from the sweat on her forehead. Facing the blue, cloudless sky, she closed her eyes and listened to the cicadas pur around her.
"How long has it been now? I've constantly waited and waited for this guy to make his move...ugh!" Nanami thought to herself angrily. It had been over three years since she became the Kami of the shrine, and although they had shared many small, intimate moments together, Tomoe still showed that had his defenses up against Nanami and her feelings.
And Nanami?
She was done waiting.
Lifting herself up, she began to make her way over towards Tomoe. As Tomoe saw the dark shadow loom over, he opened and widened his eyes, but it wasn't enough time to divert the quick and skillful Nanami as she made her way on top of the boy, grabbing both his wrists and pinning him down to the deck.
"Now you listen here! I'm not going to wait anymore! This has gone on long enough Tomoe, and I can't take it anymore!"
"Now!", Nanami yelled, gazing into his sharp eyes,
"Tell me! Do you like me?"
Tomoe began to smirk. Shifting himself up on his elbows, he spoke-
"Honestly, Nanami?"
Her heart began to beat fast-
"You want to know the truth?"
And faster-
"No, I don't like you."
Nanami froze. She felt weak; loosening her grip on his wrists. He started to lift himself up more. Tears began to swell within her eyes.
"you idiot fox..."
Her eyes fogged from the tears and unable to see, she began to stand herself up from upon him. But before she could part from his body, she felt a pair of warm hands grab a hold of her shoulders and bring her down again into a passionate kiss. Widening her eyes in surprise, she closed them and let herself melt. Tomoe began to bite her lower lip, softly nibbling and finally slipping his wet tongue inside her mouth. With this, she also joined in, letting their tongues dance, until finally, he backed himself out of her mouth. Nanami began to blush furiously, placing her hands over her face. Tomoe leaned himself into the crook of her neck and sighed; his breath tickling the bottom of her ear.
"I don't like you Nanami."
"I love you."
And with that he pulled back and took a hold of Nanami's hands, bringing them down into her lap to stare at Nanami's beautiful, shy face.
Her eyes began to widen once again, her heart rushing from the words just said to her, and he began to smile that crooked little smile, the one that she so loved.
"Tomoe..."
He peered into her eyes.
"Nanami."
Looking down, she began to trace outlines on his chest.
"You know..."
"Yes?"
She stopped her motion and angrily looked into his face.
"YOUR A BIG, STUPID JERK!"
