A/N: Hey everyone! Finally, I've gotten around to putting something else up! Yeah, this was spur of the moment, and I wrote it during Health while I was supposed to be taking notes. /smiles/ That's how I found times,…..

It had been two days since Kaoru got any sleep, first with an eight hour flight, then the ordeal with the lost luggage, then and eight hour meeting about stocks and product, so boring it should have been illegal, followed by more sitting around waiting for them to find her bags, leaving just enough time for her to take a quick shower, change, come back to the airport and get on another flight. Unfortunately, she was a light sleeper which made sleeping on the plane difficult and catching a wink in the airport neigh impossible. She was cranky and hungry, and waiting for her flight for another hour wasn't helping her mood. Although, it was possible a bit of chocolate and some chips would.

"Thank you 'mam, five forty-five is your change. Have a great day," the motherly cashier said. Kaoru gave the woman a weak, appreciative smile, and, nibbling wearily on her candy bar, made her way to a table out of the main bustle. Scanning the paper, she sighed.

"Stocks are down, war is raging, children are being murdered, and the large majority of America is fat. So I say to myself, what a wonderful world," she muttered under the rustle of her morbid newspaper. Eventually, the loud drone of shoes on cheap tile, and people bidding each other goodbye and yelling enthusiastic greetings to one another at the multiple terminals dropped into the background as she started to relax. Nothing broke her concentration on her reading until,…

'Crinkle crinkle.' She snapped out of her paper-induced stupor to find a man, previously unnoticed, sitting across from her and, eating her chips! She stared at him, mouth slightly agape at the sheer discourtesy of what he was doing. He looked up and smiled pleasantly back. Another time she would have noticed that this man was especially hot, with warm, intelligent purple eyes, a smaller, but lithe frame, a nice smile, and striking long red hair. (Even as it was, a small voice in the back of her head was commenting on how gorgeous her table mate was, but she pushed the stupid nagging aside.) But she was at breaking point. So, she did the only appropriate thing; she leaned over, and grabbed a handful of chips. The man knitted his eyebrows together in surprise, but his expression was soon back to that of amiable pleasance, which infuriated her even more.

Over the course of the next ½ hour, they both read their papers, and occasionally took a handful of chips until there was a single one left in the bag. Gallantly, the man gave it to her, looked at his watch, got up, and with one last charming smile and nod, walked away. Now she was puzzled. 'Well, at least he didn't take the last one. How noble,' she thought wryly, getting up to leave as well, but when she reached down to get her purse her heart could have stopped. There, next to her black bag, were her chips.

Updated A/N: GAH! I'm so sorry Lady NeverAfterNon! I had no idea! This whole airport incident was read to us in health class when my teacher was teaching us habits of highly effective teens… (Why they even bother to try is beyond me, but still.) I dedicate this idea to my gym/health teacher and her teaching manual!
