I've been following these rivers
Long as I can remember
Never really wanting more
Now I feel my eye begin to wander
My heart beating with a hunger
For the miles left to explore
Every trail I take
Always leads me back
Right where I began
Where's the fun in that?
But there's another road
Where I long to go
That I need to see
See the point where the three rivers meet
They surround me
Wanting to show
How far they go
With the wind in my face on the trail as it fights me
So far from home
When I go, it's hard to believe how far I'll go
I know it won't be an easy journey
Not for someone like me
Never tried to ride so far
As long as the river's there beside me
And the maps and signs to guide me
I'll never be afraid to start
I can find my way
Past every bridge and bend
I can ride all day
'Til I reach the end
But I have to save
What I'll have to spend
That's all I need
See the trail out there waiting for me
It's maddening
That I can't go
Time moves so slow
When I think where it leads I can feel
My heart pounding
One day I'll know
What's at the end of that line
When I follow that line
See the trail where it runs wide and free
It calls me
Trying to show
How far it goes
With the wind in my face on the trail as it fights me
Out on my own
How far I'll go...
