G.W.: evil maniac laugh I'm back and ready to give you guys a story.
Thank you everyone who reviewed my other story "Dawning of a New Goddess"
(Megami Kouhosei). However, it's time for me to try something new. Since
school is done for now I got more time to write than ever and I hope that
my dreaded writers block is gone. I have decided to do a song fan fiction
to one of the songs I sung in choir this year for my final concert. It is
called "Walk a Little Slower My Friend" by Don Besig and Nancy Price. I
highly doubt any of you have heard this song but it has a good message and
words. I can imagine saying these words to a friend while walking down a
trail. As always, I do not own this lovely piece of music or Gravitation.
This is Shuichi looking back at when he got his big break to become a
singer. Don't be too harsh, I just came out of writers block so it may be
a little terrible and it's my first time doing Gravitation. I know the song
is in English, but he is in a Japan and I'm not going to try translated it
in Japanese when I can barely understand Japanese myself. So please, don't
review telling me that a bookstore in Japan can't have English music. Just
enjoy the story and review!

Shuichi briskly walked down the streets on a warm spring day. He entered a book shop to get some music paper for his songs. A song began to play over the intercoms, but it wasn't classical like it always was. It was a piece that made Shuichi look back to when he first started singing.
(Walk a little slower, my friend And take a little time along the way. We don't need to borrow Any moments from tomorrow, There's so much here for us today.)
Shuichi closed his lavender eyes and listened to the female vocals sing the words. It was if it was telling him something; to walk slower and see the normalcy of life; to not rush and slow down. The music wasn't going anywhere. He needed time to be a normal nineteen year old.
(Walk a little slower, my friend And try to hear what people have to say. Search to find a meaning 'Cause there's more to life than dreaming; We have to find a way to face it ev'ry day.)
"'Cause there's more to life than dreaming," he thought. He remembered when he dreamed of being a famous music star. He was trying to find a way to be one and how to live such an unreachable dream. He was glad he had found a way even though it wasn't and still is not easy.
(So when you see The sun come up each morning, Be thankful for the brand new day that's dawning. A time to grow, a time to show, That you alone can make a diff'rence.)
Shuichi grabbed the paper from a wooden shelf still listening to every word being spoken. He understood that a new day brings a new adventure. He also knew he can make a difference in himself by taking new challenges. He could also change what a person felt through his lyrics and singing.
(Think it over, my friend Don't pass it by or let it slip away Grab your chance and take, Life is only what you make it. Start here and now to live it ev'ry day!
The time is now to make a new beginning, If you believe, You have a chance at winning. Keep aiming high, Reach for the sky, And do your best to make things happen.
Think it over my friend; Don't pass it by or let it slip away. Grab your chance and take it, Life is only what you make it; Start here and know to live it ev'ry day!!!)
He listened to the voices as they faded way on the last word. He thought about taking a break from his career and going to the karaoke bar with Hiroshi and sing the day away. He smiled at the idea, paid for the sheets and left the store in a happier disposition. GW: Alrighty then! I'm done! So, what do you think? Is it an o.k. one shot or does it need some work? Click the blue button on the bottom of your screen and review then!
