(Note I don't own Carmilla the web series or the original book, though I wish I did. Also forgive any formatting or spelling errors as I'm still new to this. Thanks. =b)

It was so dark. Light seemed like such a distant memory and the only thing to be heard was what seemed like the faint echo of water dripping in the distance. Suddenly the dark seemed to ebb away and what was left was a faint image of Silas, but that must be a dream because how could she have made it out.

"Okay let's think back a little, what happened to me?"

The quiet streets began to lurch and shift as the image turned into the familiar dorm room usually occupied by Laura and at least part of the ginger squad. The room seemed so quiet and empty, totally devoid of the normal signs of life, even Laura's mug was nowhere to be found.

"This is getting real weird real fast so first things first how in the frilly heck did I get here."

It was then that the memory of lunging into the pit after the monster like some kind of cliché hero decided to return.

"What have I done?"

The room seemed to grow slightly warmer as water began to fall from the ceiling.

"Well there's a welcome to hell I wasn't expecting. I mean they said it would be all fire and brimstone not…wait? Is this salt water? And why aren't the lights working right?"

It was then that the room returned to its former shade of horrifying darkness.

"No! Not again! Please whatever it is not the dark again!"Carmilla screamed flailing wildly as the last bits of the light faded from the strange room and the walls seemed to close in.

"Owww! Carm that really hurt! Wait Carm! You moved, you're okay. I…. I thought I'd lost you that you were dead" Laura said stumbling a little over the words.

"Well Cupcake, you would be half right about that."

"Really! After all this you have to make that joke?" Laura said slapping Carmilla's arm but not really putting much force behind it.

"You know you love my jokes Cupcake."

And with that Carmilla smirked leaning in so that they were only a breath apart.

"Now how about a kiss for the hero?"
