I wrote this for the kuroxfai livejournal group a while back. Short ficlet based off of a bit by comedian Jeff Foxworthy and matched to Kurogane and Fai. =D

Fai sighed.
"It's hot."
Kurogane calmly put down the sword he had been polishing and rose to his feet. He stepped around the blond that was sprawled across the tatami and slid open the door, letting in the cool evening breeze. One of Tomoyo's attendants was walking nearby and she smiled at him with a small bow as she passed. Satisfied, he turned back to continue his work.
It was only after he had returned to his spot by the wall and had picked up the sword that Kurogane realized it. He froze, mind racing.
Wait. I wasn't hot. Why did I...?
His stare snapped to Fai, who was now kneeling in the doorway to enjoy the breeze.
Feeling eyes on him, Fai glanced over his shoulder and immediately frowned. "Kurorin? What's the matter?" He quickly moved to the ninja's side and poked the tightened brow. "Why so upset?"
Kurogane turned horrified eyes up to the blond's worried ones. "I can't believe it!"
"What? What is it?"
"I… I… I've been trained!"
A quiet hung between them for a moment before Fai began to laugh. He pulled Kurogane's head against his chest in an attempt to be soothing. "Silly Kuro-wanwan! You've only just now realized that?"
