Jill was always adventurous. That's part of what got them into this mess. She wanted to reach the peak of Everest. The ultimate adventure to peak off a life in which Brian had done so much with her already. He was hesitant, but she pushed him into it, like she had every other journey they went on. Kayaking river rapids, skydiving, hell, she had even convinced him once when they were on a trip in Hawaii to go up next to the lava near an erupting volcano. Everest would be no different.
Or it wouldn't have been, were it not for the storm. The guides didn't want to go any further. They decided to set camp and wait it out, but wouldn't move from their spot. Bull-headed as she was, Jill wanted to go ahead anyway. She figured that a few hundred yards couldn't be that hard, and she talked Brian into going with her.
They hadn't moved for the last half hour now. Jill tumbled and suffered a badly broken leg. She couldn't move, and Brian couldn't move her in these conditions. To top it off, she suffered from horrific frostbite.
They both knew that she was going to die on this mountain.
"Keebla farble." she told Brian, the Sim she had decided to spend her life with. "Jarmushi petka fanin." She seemed at peace. Content with all she had done. Not afraid, staring into the face of death. Heflee Putarmi, she thought, heflee putarmi glump...
"BYONG FARBLE! SPOG PLOT PIKOT!" Brian screamed at her, tears in his eyes. "KINTARO GORPAT PINCHU!" He grasped her hand and caressed her face. This couldn't be their last adventure when they had so many more they could do.
"Gorgot gatto..." she whispered, looking up at him. "Ba feechly pupi gatto.."
Brian knew that she was right. "Relti yepna ratch...relti yepna ratch..."
With her last breath, Jill whimpered "Wuck..." and her hand went limp.
And so her soul faded into the wind, her last word echoing in Brian's mind forever...
