Be mine tonight– Chapter 1

.

"Be mine tonight," he said to her softly.

She nodded as he closed the door and locked it behind them.

She took a deep breath and turned her face up to meet his gaze, his eyes were completely dilated and she knew hers were similarly so.

He took her hand and led her to his bedroom without another word.

That night their lovemaking was unspoken.

It didn't need any words as they came together heatedly but throughout the whole night they took their time to explore their bodies.

The scars that marred their otherwise perfect bodies were known to each other as they were there when it happened.

She had seen every stab wound George Foyet had marked him while he was healing; she had been with him every day.

He had seen every wound she'd received from Benjamin Cyrus to Ian Doyle. He had been with her every day.

They were perfect for each other; they were damaged people. Yet, they were not.

It took them seven years to realize they were perfect for each other.

It took them seven years to realize they loved each other.

It took them all these wounds and scars to realize they were perfect for each other.

They had denied each other for too long. They even dated other people! He had Beth, she had Michael from counter-terrorism.

They were even engaged to them! But when it was near that time, they realized it was wrong.

They saw their near mistake over Derek Morgan's engagement party. They had flown to Chicago for the occasion.

It was a happy occasion and it was more so to see old friends again, catching up on old times.

They never knew the sparks were still there, it never went away. They tried to deny it for seven years. But old sparks rekindled when they held each other again in a dance.

It was a bitter-sweet dance. They tried not to hold each other close but yet he couldn't help it as he pressed her close to him as she didn't fight him but willingly pressed against him.

He could feel her heat as she began to breathe rapidly as he was doing it too.

They never talked.

No words were needed.

They knew what was in their thoughts as they were of the same mind.

They did not meet each other's eyes, none were needed, they knew what they'd find if they looked into each other's eyes.

…..

She flew to Virginia when she told Michael it was over between them.

She waited for him.

He came.

He had ended it with Beth.

Beth knew he was not in love with her anymore; she saw his heart was no longer hers and she had unwillingly let him go.

He was free, so was she.

Now as she lay on his bare chest after another round of love making, he was stroking her bare back in soothing circles, "Why didn't we realize this before?" He asked.

She smiled, "Because we're fools."

He nodded, "How many years we have wasted."

She looked up at him and shook her head, "Not wasted, we became wiser. If it weren't for the separate journey we took, we'd never have found us again."

"That is an interesting way to look at our life. I like it." He pulled her close to him as he demanded a kiss from her which she willingly gave him and it led to more kisses and more love making.

"I love you Aaron Hotchner." She said as the sun began to rise.

"I love you, Emily Prentiss." He replied as he kissed her again, blocking her view of the sun but she didn't need to see it.

He was her sunrise.
