Steams rolls off the tracks as the heat from the trains mix with the chilled Jersey air in late November. As the doors open, soft music creeps from the loud speaker filling the station.

A young woman, silhouetted by the a single streetlight steps onto the platform.

"Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world

She took the midnight train going anywhere"

Aged work boots and faded jeans step from the opposite train.

"Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit

He took the midnight train going anywhere"

They make their way through the station to the late night bar across the street, barely noticing one another. With his heavy duffel in tow, he manages to open the door for her, yet they drift to opposite ends of the bar. The bartender whispers to the man, "Are you not going to sit with your lady?"

The young man looks up and follows the eyesight of the bartender.

"I see her in a smokey room, the smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile they can share the night"

"It goes on and on and on and on"

Without loosing eye contact, both rise and move slowly though the loose crowd of the bar. Without a word, they leave together.

"Strangers, waiting..'walking' down the boulevard

Their shadows searching in the night.."

"Street lights..people..

Living just to find emotion

Hiding somewhere in the night.."

Authors Note: I know there's more to the song... but I'm stuck. Any ideas hit me up.
