A/N: Hey people, it's me again. I hope you enjoy this one-shot. I found inspiration when my friend and I were trying to decide why Lissa and Andre went to St. Vlads. Please comment and subscribe. I also posted another story today called The Secret Girl and posted a new chapter on A Darkened Rose's Warning. Please read those stories as well. Also, write in the review section (or PM me) about any other one-shots or stories you would like to see. ~ Lindsey Lee

The Golden Angel in the Corner
A sad little girl sits in a corner. She has a picture in mind, a tear in her eye, and a blanky in her hand. Her little self, calms the world. But, what will calm her? She can't be older than five, but knows the world as fifty.
Her golden blonde hair, straighter than straw, sits behind her as her blanky comforts her fears. She's paler than the moon with eyes that shine like stars. Her corner seems to cave in with every breath she takes.
Why?
Why must she sit through a world, and house full of hate and yelling? I thought her home was for comfort not heart ache. Why must she have to live through this? She was born into a world of sin and crime. That little girl is precious to me. I know her hopes and dreams. I know her smile. I know her wants and needs. I know who this little angel from heaven is… my pride and joy.
