First things first...
Hi, this is my first time making a fanfiction so let me know if i'm doing anything wrong grammatically. The reason i'm writing this is because I love Both the Etrian Odyssey and Fire Emblem franchises But I can't stand the low amount of good crossovers for Fire Emblem and The Etrian Odyssey archive is almost nonexistent. I chose to use Fire Emblem Fates and Etrian Odyssey Nexus for this story but i'm primarily going to focus of the E.O. side of things first. Anyway I hope you enjoy this read and that you'll support my future endeavors. Etrian Odyssey is owned by Atlus while Fire Emblem is owned by Intelligent Systems.

Fire Emblem: Fated adventure
Chapter 1: Thunderous prelude
The storm raged as the royal families of Nohr and Hoshido faced each other. Each one with one eye on the other side and one on their brother stuck in the middle.
"Come Corrin." Said Ryoma as Hinoka, Sakura, and Takumi ran up the hill
"we're going home brother." said Xander as Leo, Elise, and Camilla mirrored their counterparts.
"He's my brother!"
"No, he's mine!"
"brothers! Can't we find a way to settle this peacefully!?"
"They have killed the queen and dozens of civilians Corrin! The time for talk is over!"Roared Ryoma Drawing Raijinto.
"We would never stoop so low! Have at you!" Shouted Xander hoisting Siegfried in the air. But before their blades could cross a great bolt of lightning struck between them.
"Is everyone alright!" Both princes called receiving multiple conformations. as everyone relaxed however one thing became apparent.
"where is Corrin?"
oOoOoOoOoOoOo
looking around Corrin saw that he was not in the field he was in before, instead he was in a bed in some kind of clinic."Wh-what happened…" he said as he groggily got up.
"Oh, your awake." said a man in white.
"where am I?" Corrin inquired.
"You are currently in the Royal Hospital Of Maginia young man, your lucky to be alive. I'm one of the head doctors here, call me Randal." Stated the man.
"Maginia? Where's that?" questioned Corrin. After all this was the first he heard of a place called that but then again he was never really aware of the greater world.
" In the sky son, that's where we are right now."said Dr. Randal matter of factly.
"In the sky!?" Gapped Corrin "That's impossible!"
"Relax son, you might be suffering from short term memory loss. Where was the last place you remember being before you woke up?" asked the doctor gently.
"I was in a field with my sibli-" then it hit Corrin like a wyvern "WAIT MY SIBLINGS!, Are they alright!?"
"Calm down, you were found alone in the town square during a massive lightning storm, fortunately for you someone was brave enough to rescue you." Randal said.
"o-oh I see…" he was now at a loss, his families could be tearing themselves apart right now and he could do nothing to stop it.
"Don't beat yourself up over it, you'll be fine." reassured the doctor.
"But i'm all alone in a foreign city! I don't even have the means to pay you…" they probably think he was turned to ash by that lightning bolt. He needed to get back home and fast.
"Take it easy, your covered. Just rest for the time being." laughed the doctor.
"But I-" before he could get another word out the door to the room opened.
"Ah. He's awake." Said an orange haired woman in armor. " I was afraid he'd be in a coma still." She beamed.
"Your highness, your damsel in distress appears to be in fine condition, although he doesn't remember how he got stuck in the square."addressed the doctor.
"At least he's in one piece." Sighed the now known royal. " I am princess Persephone, heir of the kingdom of Maginia. From the looks of it you seem to be an adventurer."
"Are you the one that saved me?" Corrin asked.
"Yes actually, scared my guards half to death." She laughed while looking at the Yato sitting next to the bed. " I have never seen a sword like that one before, where is it from?"
"It was a gift from my mother, she gave it to me before she died…" Corrin stated sullenly before looking back up to the princess. "Wait you said that you are the princess of your country right? How come it's in the sky? And what's this about adventurers? He asked.
"We are a kingdom that is constantly on the move, a nation without borders if you will, we hold several non aggression pacts with various nations around the world and often act as a mediator between them. The reason why I asked if you were an adventurer was because of the decree I declared requesting for explorers to help on the expedition we are on." stated the princess. "We should be approaching our destination soon, would you care to join me for a walk to the observation deck?"
"Thank you, but I just woke up. I think it would be better for me to rest." Said Corrin as he slouched back into his bed."
"The boy does have a point, besides there's a window here your majesty. You could stay here and keep him company if you'd like?" Dr. Randal stated.
"That's fine doctor." Smiled Persephone " sadly I have other things to attend to at the moment but Before I go may I have your name sir?"
"My name is Corrin. It was a pleasure meeting you." He said.
"Likewise." Stated the princess before leaving the room. as soon as Persephone left a small screech came from the hallway before the voice of a man sounded.
"Attention citizens, this is your captain speaking. We have emerged past the storm and are now arriving at our destination" the man said before the screech sounded again.
"What was that? How did he speak?" inquired Corrin.
"That was the intercom, it helps with communication throughout the city due to the multiple decks." Stated Dr. Randal. "Anyway, you should see the view, it's amazing."
Getting up from the bed, Corrin walked to the window, and the only word he could use to describe what he saw was breathtaking. Outside the window was a image one could only describe as out of a fairy tale. A chain of islands with jungles that stretched as far as the eye could see, some were even floating in the sky like the city! The water of the sea was a crystal blue and the sky was the same without a cloud in sight. Finally in the center of it all was a giant, almost perfectly circular pit where all of the water fell nurturing a colossal tree that glowed an ethereal blue in the center and branches that held verdant green leaves.
"Where are we?" said Corrin breathlessly.
"That, my friend is a yggdrasil tree. You see, we were sent here to decipher the mystery of an ancient civilization and its disappearance which is why the princess needed adventurers. They're the the ones with the best shot at uncovering the archipelago's secrets." Informed Randal.
"That sounds amazing." Smiled Corrin. Maybe if he decided to become an adventurer then he could find a way home! He was taken out of his thoughts by the snaps of Randal's fingers.
"The princess is apparently going to hold a speech in the square when we touch down, would you like to go?" He asked
"oh, of course." Corrin said
"Alright, let me show you the way out of here then." Randal stated before opening the door. The two walked to the other end of the wing and down several flights of stairs before they reached the exit.
"Thank you for caring for me Doctor." Corrin said while extending a hand.
"Just doing my job son." Randal replied while taking Corrins hand and giving it a firm shake.
Walking out the front door Corrin came to another great sight. From where he stood he could see the immense tree from before but now he could also see what the city of Maginia looked like. Tall, white walled buildings with orange shingles as far as the eye could see with vibrant, numeral trees adding to their gorgeousness. Over head a plethora of cables connected to a white, semi transparent canvas sail that swayed over the city. Looking back down to the square Corrin saw a sea of people standing in front of a lavish fountain milling about. In front of the crowd was Princess Persephone who smiled at him before raising her hand. Corrin almost waved back at her if it wasn't for the fact that everyone else became absolutely silent.
"Etria, High Lagaard, Armoroad, Tharsis, and all brave heroes from across the world! Today, we set out into this unexplored land. Though you all may be faceless strangers to each other, you all share the same desire to venture into the unknown. Our goal is to seek out and uncover the treasures and secrets of the lost civilization of Lemuria. It is there you will find what you seek, be it fame, fortune, or merely the thrill of adventure! I, Persephone Maginias, am the leader of the Maginia expeditionary force. The expeditionary headquarters will provide aid to all official guilds registered. Now, brave adventurers! Hold your heads high and proudly go forth!" announced the princess. As she stepped down the crowd broke out into applause and cheers before another person stepped forward. The new speaker appeared to be an old man in dark scaly armor with short, grey hair and a scar on his left temple. He cleared his throat and pierced the crowd with his sharp yellow eyes.
"As her highness has stated we are here on a mission of discovery. I am Gunther Mueller, director of guild registration and captain of the princess's guard. Before you set out be sure to organize and register your guilds, once you have been registered you will be assigned missions based on your experience and expertise. you will be granted permission to leave the city limits only if you are registered along with a stipend of five hundred Ental to cover the cost of equipment and lodging. Good luck and good hunting everyone." And with that the crowd goers began to disperse and leave the plaza.
"Treasures and secrets of a lost civilization huh? Maybe they had the answer to getting him home and back to his family. But what if his siblings were still at war with each other? What if they believed he was long dead by the time he returned? What if-" Corrin was knocked out of his thoughts when he bumped into something.
"Hey what's the big idea!? Don't you know it's rude to bump into people!?" Yelled the person he bumped into. They had tanned skin, black hair, charcoal eyes, and stood a almost a head shorter then himself. They were dressed in a green, sleeveless tunic, red shorts, leather boots, waist long red cape, a green hat with what seemed to be a hawk feather clipped onto it. On their back was a bow with quiver of arrows signifying them to be an archer of some sort.
"Hay aren't you going to apologize? You in there?" They questioned.
"O-oh, I'm sorry I didn't see you there…" Corrin stammered.
"Relax, it's not like I'd do something to you. What's your name anyway?" The short archer asked.
"My name is Corrin, again I'm sorry for bumping into you." He said.
"No skin off my back, I'm Sam by the way." They replied. "Hey you seem to be a little lost around here. Do you want to come with me before you bowl over someone less than friendly?"
"Sure I guess, lead the way." Corrin said. After all he's in a foreign city and it's not like he had a map on him.
"Alright, a couple of my friends agreed to meet me at the entrance the expedition HQ so we could get registered." Sam said before strolling down the street with Corrin in toe. They walked several blocks before arriving at an immensely tall building and spotting four other people standing in front of it.
"Ah, the great hunter has returned with the most dangerous game of all!" Boomed an older man in full plate armor. He had black hair that faded into grey on the sides and wore a friendly smile.
"How was the speech Sam?" asked a man in white with glasses, he had red hair and sharp yellow eyes that locked onto Corrin before going back to the person he was addressing.
"Who's that guy? Another adventurer?" Questioned a girl with braids. She had blonde hair, sea blue eyes and wore a spear on her back.
"We should hurry inside before a line forms…" deadpanned another girl in red. She had long pink hair, blue eyes like the blond and had a strange device on her shoulder. After what she stated all six went inside and up a flight of stairs. The group came to a room with several stone pillars and curved windows. Next to the windows was Mueller, head of administration.
"Ah, your the group m'lady was talking to before, Clear Sky was it? And I see you brought the one she saved from the storm as well." He said watching as the other five turned to Corrin with various looks.
"WAIT, WAIT WAIT! YOUR THE GUY THAT WAS STUCK OUT THERE!?" Yelled Sam. "That storm was an absolute monster! You should be dead right now!" They raved.
"I guess I just got lucky." Corrin replied sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
"You're telling me…" Sam sighed.
"AHEM." coughed Mueller. "If you would like to register together please fill out these forms." He stated while handing over said paperwork. Once everyone was finished they handed them back to him. "Alright, everything seems to be in order. Good luck Clear Sky Guild." He said before making a gesture for the next guild that came to come in. Once outside the other members of the guild introduced themselves to their new companion.
"My name is Dave, short for David." Said the man in white again sizing up Corrin.
"I'm Mili…" said the pinkett quietly opening a book she had tucked away.
"My name's selina, it's nice to meet you." Smiled the blonde as she held out a hand for Corrin to shake. Before Corrin could take it however the last member of the group stepped between them with glee.
"And I am the the glorious Paladin of justice, WALLERD!" Shouted the knight. "If I may ask what is the name of our new noble companion?" He asked.
"My name is Corrin, it's a pleasure to work with you all." From the way things were going he was sure he'd be home in no time.
Chapter 1 end
oOoOoOoOoOoOo
As stated I'm going to stick to the Etrian side for the story. For those unaware the princess is the one that gives you missions in the game while Mueller is the guild master who you go to to manage your members. The five other adventurers you have seen are all of the go to members of my guild, Clear Sky. and finally Dr. Randal is a minor OC made for segwaying along with the royal hospital being an original location I made as well.
