The town sitting below the hill amuses her, evoking emotion that she wasn't sure she could feel. She should know better. She had met that boy, the one that wields the Keyblade. She can remember hearing her traveling companion, Axel, say something about being around the boy; how he makes Axel feel like he's not a Nobody after all. But she doesn't know Axel very well to begin with so she brushes the thought away with a smile. Determined to not dwell on what she's done to that boy she looks down to her notebook. It sits on her lap full of blank paper, ready to be drawn on. The mere thought of picking up a crayon and scribbling on the crisp paper sends shivers up her spine, forcing her to throw the thought away.
Her empty gaze shatters suddenly at the feeling of someone staring at her. She raises her head to lock her bright azure eyes with that of a single crimson eye. Short silver tresses part around her visible eye to cross over the other. The girl standing in front of her slowly sits down beside her on the bench, hands resting in her lap. Dressed in her plain white dress she feels bland compared to this girl's attire. Her attire consists of light Capri pants with irregularly place pockets, a sleeveless, navy blue jacket and simple light blue shoes. The girl dresses as a teen wandering around this city should.
Wary of the crimson gaze resting on her, she reaches up to play with the ends of her fair hair draping over her shoulder. The distraction allows her voice to come out in a hesitant whisper, "Hi."
She doesn't know how to make friends; it wasn't a skill those other Nobody wanted to teach her. She was their tool; one that did as she was told up until the end. All she has to do is be polite and wait for either Axel or Riku to come back first, saving her from having to be alone with someone with a heart.
"Fuu."
She turns her head toward the other, surprised at the single word. "What?"
"Name."
"O-Oh, mine's Namine."
"Waiting for someone?"
Namine's eyes focus on her hands, not quite sure how to weasel around the questions that might come after. "Yes."
"When?"
The small blonde takes a chance and looks over at the other girl, mesmerized by the crimson orb staring back at her. "Soon..."
The girl suddenly stands up with the tiniest of smiles curving her lips. "Return." The way the word leaves her lips sends a chill up Namine's spine; a demand. Her eyes never leave Fuu's as the girl slowly begins to turn away. "Promise?"
The childlike tone surfaces and Namine can't help but smile, feeling more comfortable around this girl than any other person she's been around in so long. "I promise." She extends her hand, holding out a curved pinky towards Fuu. The silver haired girl raises an eyebrow but hooks her pinky around Namine's nonetheless.
Namine sits in the pure white room with a smile curling her lips. Nothing of her surroundings or duties concerns her as she presses the end of her blue crayon against the paper. The finishing touches please the young artist as she sets the crayon down against the table. Her fingers run over the scribbled image with a sense of longing to the motion. She leans back in the chair and glances toward the window, waiting for the day that she can keep her promise and see that girl again; someone that doesn't think she's a witch and that isn't afraid to get near her.
